Nichole,
Thank you for going through my mountain high pile of books lol. I am an EMT and have really long shifts making my kindle an absolute lifesaver. I love getting new recommendations. I am going to try and read these ones.

Buddy Read? Tangled (Tangled, #1) by Emma Chase

Unholy Ghosts (Downside Ghosts, #1) by Stacia Kane Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake (Love By Numbers #1) by Sarah MacLean Checkmate (A Neighbor from Hell, #3) by R.L. Mathewson Heart of Obsidian (Psy-Changeling, #12) by Nalini Singh Love Irresistibly (FBI / US Attorney, #4) by Julie James

Thats it so far... But heck lets see how many 24hour shifts I end up with this month and I might read more.

Ty | 1943 comments Hi Shelley!
Wow! We have lots of books in common! I hope you like your picks! I tried to pick one off your TBR and one new-to-you. If you want me to repick anything, please let me know! Enjoy!

1. Hot Tamales:
TBR - Running Wild - you love Linda Howard! I do toooo!

New - Seducing Cinderella - great MMA story with a hawt cover and hawt hero.

2. Ghirardelli Chocolate:
TBR -Iced (Dani O'Malley #1) - talk about intense! Ryodan is the personification of that word. You definitely want to savor this one as you re-entered the richness of the world created by the awesome KMM.

New - The Fault in Our Stars - I nearly cried buckets. grab lots of tissues.

3. Tootsie Pop:
TBR - Don't Say a Word - the oldest book on your TBR :D

New - Once in a Blue Moon - an oldie but goodie of mine - my all time fave historical romance.

4. M&M’s:
TBR - Slave to Sensation - Nalini's Guild Hunters series made me fall in love with angels, but this series might make you go for those lovely changelings.

New - Soulless - have you tried steampunk? This one is a great excursion into the genre with a nice heaping of romance!

5. Skittles:
TBR - The Real Deal - definitely a rainbowish cover.

New - The Epic Love Story of Doug and Stephen - a light, gay-for-you story, with no explicitness but plenty of sweetness.

6. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups:
TBR - Simply Irresistible - cute story, long series. I plan on just sticking with the sisters' stories.

New - Playing for Keeps - along the same lines with family-centric series - but has some great haha moments.

7. Twix:
TBR - A Hunger Like No Other - 2nd in the series. You haven't read the first, but it's a bit weak and not really required, though it still adds a nice backstory. I see that you like audiobooks - Robert Petkoff, the narrator of the IAD series, is hands down my FAVORITE narrator. His Scottish accent is to. die. for.

TBR - Magic Burns - okay, okay. So the first wasn't that great. But I promise you the 2nd gets better - and honestly, it grows NUCLEAR from the third book onward. Stick with this - it's worth it. I promisssse.

8. Laffy Taffy:
TBR - First Grave on the Right - one of my favorite series! I was giggling throughout the book. And the anti-hero is pretty hawt, too.

New - Wallbanger - favorite LOL read of 2012!

~Leslie~ (akareadingmachine) | 1934 comments Hi Elke! Great picks!!

I had to narrow it down to 2, one from my TBR and one totally new to me. So I'll be reading

Buckhorn Beginnings by Lori Foster and On the Island by Tracey Garvis-Graves
There are some others I'll definitely be reading soon!! Thanks again, and I'll let you know what I think.

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments Hi Kami

I'm not sure if I can get your picks up today (it's only 7.30am over here) 'cos I have a full day of work, and then have to drive 6 hours home. But I'll definitely have them up tomorrow :) If I can sneak some time at work, I might get them up by this afternoon - it'll depend on how big your pile of books to trawl through is! (And I suspect that pile is pretty large ;)

I had a lot of fun going through your lists...this part of the challenge is more challenging for me than the reading part of the challenge!

1. Hot Tamales:
I haven't read this one but the cover looks pretty hot...
Bunny and the Bear (Furry United Coalition, #1) by Eve Langlais Bunny and the Bear
and the cover isn't hot on this one but the story sure is
A Bit of Rough (Rough, #1) by Laura Baumbach A Bit of Rough

2. Ghirardelli Chocolate:
On your to-read ASAP list there is one book that I feel really strongly about. It's my favorite Marie Sexton book. It's emotional and really amazing IMO. It's on my Effing Loved It shelf.
Between Sinners and Saints by Marie Sexton Between Sinners and Saints

3. Tootsie Pop:
This one has been lingering on my to-read shelf for a while too.
Master of the Mountain (Mountain Masters, #1) by Cherise Sinclair Master of the Mountain

4. M&M’s:
You are so well read I was looking for something that wasn't on your lists (very challenging) I didn't see any sci-fi or futuristic romance. I love that stuff, but it's not everyone's cup of tea. Here is an author that does really well with it - Laurann Dohner - it's smuttastically delicious and one of my guilty reading pleasures
Burning up Flint (Cyborg Seduction, #1) by Laurann Dohner Burning up Flint - Her Cyborg series
Fury (New Species, #1) by Laurann Dohner Fury - Her New Species series

5. Skittles:
I have not read this one but it is on your to read ASAP list so I thought it would be good to choose: Blue Notes (Blue Notes, #1) by Shira Anthony Blue Notes
Since this is a category I have many favorites I am also selecting some of my personal favorites that are on your to-read list:
Life Lessons (Life Lessons, #1) by Kaje Harper Life Lessons from my Effing Loved It Shelf
Acrobat by Mary Calmes Acrobat (I am a Mary Calmes whore.)
Shattered Glass (Shattered Glass, #1) by Dani Alexander Shattered Glass also on my Effing Loved It shelf

6. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups:
Jill Shalvis or Linda Lael Miller are some of my old standbys for this type of book so I chose some of each!
It Had to Be You (Lucky Harbor, #7) by Jill Shalvis It Had to Be You
or
Instant Attraction (Wilder, #1) by Jill Shalvis Instant Attraction
or
McKettricks of Texas Tate (McKettricks of Texas, #1) (McKettricks, #11) by Linda Lael Miller McKettricks of Texas: Tate (McKettricks of Texas, #1) or
Logan (Montana Creeds, #1) by Linda Lael Miller Logan

7. Twix:
I saw one book on your to-read ASAP shelf that really fits this category. I just finally got around to reading it myself recently and I wished I had done it sooner. I think anyone who makes it through Keeping Promise Rock needs to read this one!
Making Promises (Promises, #2) by Amy Lane Making Promises

8. Laffy Taffy:
Another one from my effing loved it shelf
Clear Water by Amy Lane Clear Water my very favorite Amy Lane book!
Tigers and Devils (Tigers and Devils #1) by Sean Kennedy Tigers and Devils pretty snarky but kinda long
or
One of Those Days by Zathyn Priest One of Those Days this is a short one but lighthearted and cute.

Hope these will work - if not just let me know. I am happy to pick more :)
Happy Reading! P

Circle of Friends by Maeve Binchy The Thorn Birds by Colleen McCullough Vision in White (Bride Quartet, #1) by Nora Roberts

7. Twix : “Two for me, none for you” - Recommend a book that is second in a series your partner has already started and enjoyed. If they don’t have a #2 to read, then choose the next book in a series they need to catch up on.
The Other Boleyn Girl i didn't notice any second book in a series that you had already started but this is a stand alone. You don't have to read the first to understand this one and this story is sooo good!
On Dublin Street First in a series, the second just came out.
The Other Boleyn Girl (The Tudor Court, #2) by Philippa Gregory On Dublin Street (On Dublin Street, #1) by Samantha Young

8. Laffy Taffy: Jokes on every wrapper! Recommend a book that you think is humorous OR a book with little angst, just a light and easy read. A Vintage Affair Looks light and easy, classic chick-lit.

Sassafrass (sass-a-frass) | 4192 comments Hi Inge!

Thanks for waiting patiently for me to get your picks. I tried to stay up late last night to get the pairings but then I fell asleep. Work was crazy today so I wasn't able to get to them then. I hope you can find something you'll want to read out of these because I was able to do all but one off of your TBR shelf. If there is anything you don't like, let me know and I can re-pick!

1. Hot Tamales: This is one of my favorite categories. ;) I thought you might like One Reckless Summer because it's super hot but also very sweet. And then I think this cover speaks for itself! More than Meets the Ink More than Meets the Ink (Bowen, #1) by Elle Aycart

2. Ghirardelli Chocolate: Neither one of these books are light and fluffy, but they are great romances that made me feel good by the end despite the tears I shed in the middle. Fix You and/or True

3. Tootsie Pop: Bared to You and/or Mine Till Midnight--Both of these have been on your TBR for a while and both are great books!

4. M&M’s: You've got a lot of new series on your TBR, but what about starting the Sinners on Tour series and read Backstage Pass--it's a hot one. Or if you're in the mood for something different you could go with dystopia and read Divergent.

5. Skittles: Fool for Love looks kind of colorful. And I didn't see any GLBT books on your shelf and I wasn't sure if it was your thing or a hard limit for you. I took a chance and will recommend Between Sinners and Saints which is probably one of the best m/m romance books I've ever read.

6. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups: I love HEA's and the ones in Rush and Sweet Surrender were pretty sweet. :)

7. Twix : “Two for me, none for you” -You've got lots of second in series books waiting to be read, so why don't you try Second Chance Boyfriend or Barely Breathing or Down London Road or Trust in Me!

***if you read Down London Road there's a group buddy read for join. I think I'm going to join in that myself.

8. Laffy Taffy: Click to Subscribe seems really cute, and Daisy's Back In Town is sure to fit the bill. I love Rachel Gibson's quirky romances!

Well, that's it for me. I hope you can find something that you'd like to read Inge. If not, let me know, and I'll try again!

Love the picks Paisley! And I love that you have an Effing Loved It shelf - that is awesome!! I am definitely reading Blue Notes and It Had to Be You, I have them penciled in for other challenges. I'm sure I will get to other too, but I think I will be starting Bunny and the Bear before the first so that won't count. wow! These look AWESOME. I am totally TBR'ing a few of these! And since you rec'd Caine's Reckoning twice, I will definitely read that one at least. Also, how did you know my guilty pleasure is sci-fi erotica? haha. Thanks bunches!

message 225: by Stormy (new)

Stormy | 144 comments Katie,

I ended up with a mix of things that are new to you, on your TBR and on your To Buy list. I hopehopehope that something here appeals to you:

1. Hot Tamales: A hot & spicy candy! Recommend a sexy book or a book with a hot cover. Bound to Please - I love this book, some light bdsm and I just found the hero so sexy.

2. Ghirardelli Chocolate: The kind of chocolate you want to savor. Recommend a book with an intense story your partner can really sink their teeth into and savor OR an emotional story where they’ll need some comfort chocolate when they’re finished. Touch & Geaux – after everything we’ve been through with Zane & Ty, this one tore my guts out – intense emotional drama (and this actually fits into the next category as well, since it's been on your To Buy list for over 6 months).

3. Tootsie Pop: An oldie but a goodie, recommend a book that’s been on their TBR for over 6 months. – Star-Crossed…one of the only books on your TBR that I've read and it’s book #2 in the series (so it doubles for the Twix category), but I liked it more than the first one…and don’t remember that you needed to read book #1 to understand book #2

4. M&M’s: Every time I turn around there’s a new type of M&M out there. Recommend a book that is a new series, new author, new genre or subgenre for your partner. Born of Night by Sherrilyn Kenyon – this is both a new author for you and probably a new genre, it’s one of Sherrilyn’s weirdest series and if I didn’t thoroughly love her, I might not have tried it. Get past the beginning and I promise you an amazing ride (as weird as it is). It's on your To Buy list, too, so score!

5. Skittles: Taste the Rainbow! Recommend a book with a colorful cover or a book from the LGBT genre. Second Chances…hands down one of the best M-Ms I’ve read this year, the HEA is totally worth the trip. I see that T.A. Webb is on your TBR, but not this book, so...maybe give it a try.

6. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups: Nothing goes together quite like PB & chocolate. Recommend a book where the couple gets their HEA and get to live in blissful harmony... just like PB & chocolate. This was the toughest for me - so I'm just stabbing in the dark with Flat-Out Sexy. It has a HEA that I enjoy.

7. Twix : “Two for me, none for you” - Recommend a book that is second in a series your partner has already started and enjoyed. If they don’t have a #2 to read, then choose the next book in a series they need to catch up on. From your TBR: Hot as Sin it's also been on there for longer than 6 months...and I like fire guys, but I have no idea if that's any good at all. And then I’m gonna cheat – you have Backstage Pass on your TBR and let me tell you, I love this series, I have re-read every single book already, but really, out of all the books, I think you would like Double Time (Book #5 in the series, but already released out of order as book #3) the best, it’s a decent permanent ménage.

8. Laffy Taffy: Jokes on every wrapper! Recommend a book that you think is humorous OR a book with little angst, just a light and easy read. I’ll go with Rock Chick here, I think this whole gang is ridiculously funny and I devoured this whole series last fall. Or you could try It Had to Be You by SEP – I laughed a lot, it was an easy read and while the story had a certain simplicity about it, the characters had many layers that kept things interesting.

Happy Reading...I hope.

Christina (christinaovallsbooks) | 384 comments Hi Nancy,

I noticed that you read a lot of mysteries, so I tried to give you a few that I liked and I tried to pick a few from your TBR shelves as well. If you don't see something you like, please let me know and I am willing to redo a few picks.

1. Hot in Here - Sophie Renwick
Simple Need by Lissa Matthews. Both from your TBR.
Hot in Here by Sophie Renwick Simple Need (Simple Need, #1) by Lissa Matthews

2. The Collectors - David Balddacci. You read the first in the series, Camel Club, so I thought I would recommend this as well. This is a great mystery series.
Gone Girl - Gillian Flynn. This was a great book that I read recently. There are quite a few twists and turns and this was a great mystery.
The Collectors (Camel Club, #2) by David Baldacci Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn

3. Sarah's Key - Tatiana de Rosnay. This one was the oldest on your TBR list, and I have heard many people rave about this book.
If you wanted a lighter read, A Slice of Murder by Chris Cavender from your TBR looked interesting.
Sarah's Key by Tatiana de Rosnay A Slice of Murder (Pizza Lovers, #1) by Chris Cavender

4. Divergent by Veronica Roth - New series and new author for you. This series reminds me of the Hunger Games books, which you seemed to like, so I thought you might like this one as well. There is a little romance in this one as well.
Hemlock Bay - Catherine Coulter. This is also a great mystery series/FBI series. I have read pretty much every book in this series and have loved them.
The Face of Deception - Iris Johansen. This is a new to you author and the first in the series. I have read a few of her books and have loved them. They are very good mysteries as well.
Halfway to the Grave - Jeaniene Frost. I didn't find any prarnormal romance on your shelves and thought that you might like this one. It was a lot of fun for me to read.
Divergent (Divergent, #1) by Veronica Roth Hemlock Bay (FBI Thriller, #6) by Catherine Coulter The Face Of Deception (Eve Duncan, #1) by Iris Johansen Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress, #1) by Jeaniene Frost

5. Light a Penny Candle - Maeve Binchy, from your TBR. I thought this cover looked very pretty and colorful.
Shakespeare's Landlord - Charlaine Harris. This is a series that is new to you. However, you seem to like her Arora series and Molly Harper series. I also thought the book was colorful.
Light A Penny Candle by Maeve Binchy Shakespeare's Landlord (Lily Bard Mysteries, #1) by Charlaine Harris

6. Vision in White - Nora Roberts. This is definitely one of my favorite happy ever after series. The second in the series is the best book in the series.
Vision in White (Bride Quartet, #1) by Nora Roberts

7. City of Ashes - Cassandra Clare from your TBR. This is number 2 in the series.
City of Ashes (The Mortal Instruments, #2) by Cassandra Clare

8. Full Tilt - Janet Evanovich from your TBR. I usually laugh out loud at all of her books.
The Art of Seducing a Naked Werewolf - Molly Harper. This is the next in the series for you.
Full Tilt (Full Series, #2) by Janet Evanovich The Art of Seducing a Naked Werewolf (Naked Werewolf, #2) by Molly Harper

I hope you find something that you like.

Diane ~Firefly~ | 1511 comments Nikita,

I had fun looking through your shelves and thanks for having lots of options for #1. I hope you like the picks and find something intriguing.

1. Hot Tamales: I know nothing about this book other than I can stare at the cover for a long time - Fever by Jane Swan. I also throw in Marked by Elisabeth Naughton as that's been on my TBR for a while too.

2. Ghirardelli Chocolate: I always find the In Death books to be pretty intense, so I'm recommending you continue with the series - Ceremony in Death by J.D. Robb. I'm not big on emotional reads, but PS, I Love You by Cecelia Ahern definitely fits the bill as a young widow finds notes for her dead husband urging her to live again.

3. Tootsie Pop:I was thrilled to find a book by my favorite author fit the bill - Ravished by Amanda Quick. I really enjoy her historicals as the women always have spunk and end up managing the alpha males that thought they were in charge.

4. M&M’s: My favorite young adult series is Mythos Academy as I really enjoy the setting/world building and the mix of different mythologies - A Touch of Frost by Jennifer Estep. I see you like PNR, but I didn't really see any UF, so I thought I'd recommend the first book in the Women of the Otherworld series as it kind of straddles the two genres - Bitten by Kelley Armstrong. Or you can check out a paranormal cozy mystery by Heather Webber - Truly, Madly, which has a cast of eccentric characters.

5. Skittles: An oldie, but goodie YA fantasy novel - Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynn Jones. Or I love the title and cover of The Wicked Wager by Anya Wylde.

6. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups: I know you have a couple different books by Crusie on your TBR, but while they are good, this one is better - Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie. Or you could check out On the Edge by Ilona Andrews for a little family time as Rose does what she can to protect her brothers.

7. Twix : Even though it is really the first in the series, it is marked as #2, so it qualifies - Night Pleasures by Sherrilyn Kenyon. I absolutely adore the first 5 books in the series. You have book one on your TBR, but when they were originally released, book 2 was book 1, so you can start with it - A Hunger Like No Other by Kresley Cole.

8. Laffy Taffy: Poor Bobbie is having the day from hell in Charmed & Dangerous by Toni McGee Causey. Or you can check out the experiment where tons of authors co-wrote a story with just about every romance trope ever - The Zillionaire Vampire Cowboy's Secret Werewolf Babies.

Fever (Phoenix Rising, #1) by Joan Swan Marked (Eternal Guardians, #1) by Elisabeth Naughton Ceremony in Death (In Death, #5) by J.D. Robb P.S. I Love You by Cecelia Ahern Ravished by Amanda Quick Touch of Frost (Mythos Academy, #1) by Jennifer Estep Bitten (Women of the Otherworld, #1) by Kelley Armstrong Truly, Madly (Lucy Valentine, #1) by Heather Webber Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones The Wicked Wager by Anya Wylde Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie On the Edge (The Edge, #1) by Ilona Andrews Night Pleasures (Dark-Hunter, #2) by Sherrilyn Kenyon A Hunger Like No Other (Immortals After Dark, #2) by Kresley Cole Charmed and Dangerous (Bobbie Faye, #1) by Toni McGee Causey The Zillionaire Vampire Cowboy's Secret Werewolf Babies by Juniper Bell

Thanks for the great picks Diane ~Firefly~.

I'll definitely be reading Ceremony in Death (In Death, #5) by J.D. Robb and I might also get to Ravished by Amanda Quick , Marked (Eternal Guardians, #1) by Elisabeth Naughton and Night Pleasures (Dark-Hunter, #2) by Sherrilyn Kenyon if I get the time in June.

I don't think I'll be able to get to Bitten (Women of the Otherworld, #1) by Kelley Armstrong in June but I've added it to my tbr.

Carla (carlacollette) | 347 comments Leonie—Here are your picks. I hope that you find something that you like. Let me know if you’d like a re-pick.

1. Hot Tamales: For a fun bit of spice with a fairytale theme: The Duke Is Mine

2. Ghirardelli Chocolate: I haven’t read this one from your TBR, but it looks like it fits the bill--The Chocolate Lovers' Diet

3. Tootsie Pop: From 6 months ago on your TBR, For Love Of A Horse

4. M&M’s: For a series on your to-read list that you haven’t started, Mercy

5. Skittles: A clever retelling of the Cinderella story (children’s, but well done) with a rainbow cover-- Ella Enchanted

The Convenient Marriage

7. Twix : You have #2 on your to-read list and not the first, so I’m hoping that you’ve read The Hunger Games and are ready for Catching Fire

8. Laffy Taffy: I liked this light series; it looks like you’re on #3 Queen of Babble Gets Hitched
