Thoughts after "The Elite": Team Maxon or Team Aspen?

ok weeeell a few weeks ago i wrote a comment here convinced that aspen was the right choice for america but now i overthink a few things and i think that she must get together with maxon not because im a huuuge maxon fan but because you can realize that the athor doesnt pay much attention to aspen any more so you easy forget about him and his feelings for america and also i finally managed to read the spin off about maxon and i reconsider my first sentiment he is really sweet and he deserves a happy ending :D

A novella will come out in Feburary called "The Guard" that is about Aspen. Maybe we will have some mind-changing then...
When I read a book, I try not to cram it all in because I start skipping pages because I get really tired from miles and miles of words....
I like groups of five books. I think they get a larger story packed into them and therefore are more intriguing. I also like groups of five books because you usually don't have to beg the author for more... :)

Sometimes I even prefer some authors over others due to the way they end the story and in the length that they do so.

Ohhh god that movie.....that and The Last Airbender are both the reason I usually hate movie adaptions of anything.

The last air bender was awful! Can I say even though they had an iffy story line, they couldn't have cast Asians for the actors.
And beautiful creatures, half the character didn't look right
There are ton of great actors out their that look right for the character, choose them!
But the again there is the obvious good one hunger games, and kind of twilight ( depending on your thoughts) ( but can I say host didn't look that good, so yah) I feel like Hollywood rain out of ideas so they're using great books, scraping for fame
I am honestly neither Team Maxon or Team Aspen. I just want to know who she is going to end up with or if she just dumps both their confusing butts. It's so frustrating because she thinks she wants to be with Maxon and she knows for sure she's going to let Aspen go then she just changes her mind. And vice versa with Aspen. This book is messing with my mind and my emotions. At the end of Elite I was team SHE JUST SHOULD HAVE GONE HOME.

I agree now that you are helping me think about it. I also think that unless Kiera seriously does something different, the Guard will not change too many minds, but maybe only force us to put Aspen "a little higher in the rankings" although some already have.

This book played with my emotions! I will always be TEAM MAXTON foreva!
The Elite also played with my emotions greatly. I think Kiera Cass did a great job.
Oh yeah! I wanted Aspen to win her! that is tell almost the end of this book then something Changed and i wanted Maxon to win. -Weirdly though when i wanted Aspen to win her i also wanted her to be the princess then when i changed to Maxon its like i didn't want her to be the princess DX
I am still torn between the two sides.

I agree with you mostly. I want her to be with Maxon... but then I want her to be with Aspen! Ugh!

Its like who do you pick? The guy who loves her but can't give her more then his heart. Or the guy who can make her Princess and loves her but is also trying to find someone else.Then you have to think about her becoming a princess to do you want that do you not kind of thing >.<
Sometimes I just want to punch America (not trying to be harsh!!) because some people would love to be in her shoes (even though she isnt real...) and to have two guys fight over her, thatd be awesome and horrible at the same time. Plus, shes sooooooooo stubborn! Every character in the books I have been reading recently are always stubborn and choose the wrong guy and is torn between the two,and Im here sitting on the couch saying CHOSSE ONE! but then the book wouldnt be as interesting. And then when she is finally starting to choose the right guy, the other guy always ruins it or something ruins it! Like The Tigers Curse series, Ren just haaad to loose his memory and then Kishan had to kiss her and grrrr or like The Shadow Falls series, Kylie chooses Lucas and there finnaly getting close, then Derek has to butt in and say I love you Kylie and I just threw that book! Sorry, talking about different books but still! Characters can be so fustrating and its funny cuz its just a book yet it impacts our lives... :)

I kind of wish, based on comments for this, no one would've read the elite, it just turns everyone to Maxon and doesn't accomplish much so, you totally skip it right?.....
Im team Maxon but you never forget your first love or your childhood friend..... I love MAxon n how he cares so much for her and loves her but i don't think she can forget Aspen NO MATTER WHAT..But that's what i think, some of you may disagree
I guess the one good thing about this being only a trilogy is the love triangle won't drag on for 5 books. I hate love triangles, but at least this one is done decently in my opinion.
No, I agree with you Rose- to some extent. I think that Maxon and America will probably be together to win the Selection. And that America will probably not forget Aspen. I think she will not want to meet with him or anything anymore. If she did, she probably wouldn't be at the castle. Also, after someone breaks up sometimes they keep remembering that person but a lot of times they move on. Maybe that is what will happen to America.
I agree, Angela and Nafeesa. I think Kiera could have displayed more vital parts than a love triangle in the book, although I think (as you said, Angela) that it is still a decent plot line.

I also think the book is kind of pointless if America doesn't win. I also agree that Aspen is a background character to keep the story running.
