They are not. Aspen may love America but think about it. His love for her is dangerous he could get her caned or worse. All because of his bruised ego.
Can all of you radical Aspen fans please stop insulting the intelligence and opinions of those who think differently? This is starting to get on my nerves. And no it isn't because you are Aspen fans I'd be angry if Maxon fans acted like this as well.

I like the plot. and premise but I think in general "love Triangles" don't work.

And if we don't oppose others opinions this would be a pretty boring discussion wouldn't it? If we feel annoyed or aggravated I feel makes the discussion more interesting and authentic. Gives it a realness

still Team Maxon all the way!He isn't perfect and during the book I wavered a little bit because of his flings with both Celeste and Kriss, but overall I decided that was just a part of the game. I really wish this book was written from different perspectives though. Imagine the questions we would get answered! Anyways, Team Maxon, because he doesn't think that America will just fall in love with him, opposed to Aspen who just shows up convinced America will be there with open arms to love him again.

I don't think so. There are huge hints in the Elite that america is convinced that she CAN'T rule. And frankly, I don't think she can. GO TEAM ASPEN!

Those comments are just unnessacary.

When did Aspen ever actually bother them? He allowed America to choose herself! It's not like she went up to them and was like get off my girlfriend or whatever. But if you mean he should stop seeing America then I can't agree with that either. GO TEAM ASPEN!!! But honestly, I don't care THAT much anymore. This argument is getting a little TOO heated....And plus, I hate America's character. What. a. crybaby. Geez, I wanted to slap her so many times. So yeah, I hope Kiera Cass finds some big bang to end the story instead of pissing me off with more and more whinning.

She will always win an argument even if it's just because the other person got tired and quit. But I don't think she does debate. It's something that she should try though.
I think the third book will probably go something like this:-something with the rebels, maybe America gets kidnapped or something. If not, then all these attacks in the first and second books were totally unnecessary.
-Maybe Kriss and Aspen. (although, I won't like it.)
-Maxon and America get together. Get married (possibly) she becomes princess/queen and begins changing the government. (I won't like it if THIS happens either)
If these things happen in the One, I will not be pleased.

yeahhh lol but I hate how Aspen changes... In the beginning (first book) I actually liked him better than Maxon, but in this book he gets completely selfish. I mean, how could that guy that broke up with the girl he loved just so that she could have a chance of living a better life now be making out with her hidden in secret rooms of the castle knowing it could cost their lives??? It doesn't make sense, and I really hate the "new Aspen". Maxon is a lot sweeter, cuter, and treats America way better (without playing with her emotions). And she is just really stupid for taking too long to realize that, only understanding it when Maxon starts liking Kriss and giving up on her.

And finding out "SPOILER" that his father beats him made me realise that maybe thats why he's a bit messed up. Aspen is just a jerk. Like not even a sort of jerk, but a jerk. To break America's heart like that and then come pleading for her forgiveness once she finds another guy, pathetic. I also hate the way Aspen endangers America by continuing to see her even after what happened to her friend. Does he want to be executed?

I feel like you didn't read the 4 pages before you wrote that comment. Those issues have been debated many times but for you I will repeat them.
Maxon is a jerk :)
The part where Maxon gets beat up doesn't at all affect is personality besides the fact that he (most of the time) follows his dad
And if so Maxon is messed up, which I don't find so, then America would pity herself into love and marry rather then love him for him.
Aspen on the other isn't a Jerk, he is a nice guy, a one that works hard and wants the best for everyone else, including america, so even though he hurt her you can't help think that what he did resulted ins something great for America, she got to help family, change caste, and may have a shot a changing Ilea
And Aspen doesn't plead for his forgiveness, I'd say Maxon asks for forgiveness more then Aspen does
He is not pathetic he's works extremely hard to get the palace just for America, also if Aspen were pathetic, the first minute he were to america he should of grabbed her pulled out his gun and shoot maxon. then take her away...that would be pathetic. But he waits her out and doesn't get jealous (on the outside)
Also he doesn't wait to get her executed, she wants to see him just as much as he wants to see her and it's a mutual thing and it could be looked at as does America want Aspen to be executed. America doesn't have to go the secret meeting but she does so it's not Aspens fault
Aspen is a great guy, but it's hard to see cause the elite was one sided...

Okay, I can see what you mean by the sneaking around, but I think it's natural to want to see the girl that you love once in while, and plus, like it was repeatedly said in the book, he planned where they'd meet very thoroughly. And also, I don't think he's a jerk! you probably only think he is, because you want Maxon and America to be together. But I think Aspen has a sweet and real character. That's why I like him. Maxon, yes he's nice and prince charming and lalalaaa (still don't get why people like the Prince Charming so freaking much, but anyway) but I just don't like him. GO TEAM ASPEN. Also, none of these characters are real by the way, so please please please (don't yell at me please) stop telling Aspen to screw himself!!!!!

ASPEN DID NOT PUT AMERICA INTO ANY HUGE MAMMOTH WAY IN SNEAKING AROUND. If you had read the book instead of drooling over Maxon, you would have read the part where Aspen is a guard so he knows the shifts and what not, and plans his secret meetings with America THOROUGHLY.

Get it in your brains that this is a book trilogy. A cover filled with a story by the author who is actually starting to piss us all off by not revealing who the heck the annoying America will have as her lover.

Since when do you get to decide who's America's life? I believe that that is the AUTHOR'S job to decide, not yours. I am so very tempted to tell Maxon to go screw himself right now because of people continuously telling Aspen to go screw himself. But I'm not going to because I like Maxon, yes, but I think Aspen and America would be better together! They understand each other much more and there's a lot less Bachelor drama (WHICH I ABSOLUTELY HATE.)

Personally, I like Maxon a little bit better than Aspen even though they are both great characters. To be frank, America is always pissing me off. I wish that she would just choose a boy because one minute I am rooting for Maxon then the next scene Aspen swoops in and takes the lead. What I meant by " stumbling idiot " is that whenever America has a really nice and intimate scene with Maxon later in the chapter or so she ends up making out with Aspen. I suppose the reason I like Maxon better is because I can really feel the connection between them (obviously I am aware of the strong connection between Aspen and America- I just don't ship them as much, you know what I mean?) I think that Aspen and Maxon could do better :/ Oh well, I guess we will find out soon enough! :)

Team Aspen?.......
I think Maxon will get really angry when he finds out that officer Leger is Aspen but in the end he'll choose America anyway, since she is the only one he really loves. I think he has a small crush on Kriss or something, but in the end of The Elite it's pretty clear he can't make himself stop liking America. Aspen is there just to create suspense, just like the King, but I think America and Maxon will end up together. At least, that's what I hope :)
I'm definitely team Maxon! I hope that the last book Is about America winning Maxon back. Although I think it is quite stupid that she would have to in first place.
