Paula lmao xD I hate Celeste too she could explode or something and Kriss could just move to China

Angela I wonder if there will be some crazy plot turn. Like Kriss is actually a major B and Celeste is someone great. Highly unlikely but possible. (Hope not anyways)

Good Point though, about America not being able to complain b/c she's been sneaking around with Aspen. Guess now she knows how it feels. But I don't think she would have realized her feelings for Maxon if she hadn't been so jealous. At least that's what I took from the book.

MissIntegrity even if celeste did supposedly turn around, im not sure id ever like or trust her again

Cally The elite was nowhere near as good as the selection in my opinion. It was okay, but I was kind of disappointed with both Aspen and Maxon. Maxon, with his whole Celeste thing, totally bummed me out. His whole I-just-wanted-to-feel-loved didn't sit well with me. If he really loves America, you'd think he'd only want to be loved by her. Right? I mean, if I were America, I'd be totally crushed as well. And also with Kriss, I'm just soo confused. I mean, yes, I guess it makes sense that Maxon should be prepping in case America decides she doesn't want him. But I just feel like if he's gonna love America and want her to be his wife, he needs to actually go for her, and ONLY HER!!!! Kinda leads back to the Celeste situation. He made some serious booboos in this book. And Aspen. I appreciate his concern for America (I guess), but I can't stand how he pushes down Maxon every chance he gets, and that when Maxon leaves for a while with his father, Aspen assumes that means America will go for him. I mean, seriously??? talk about pride. I don't know. Still Team Maxon, but I'm hoping book3 turns out differently then book2.

I know! I was SO disappointed in the Elite! The only thing that kept me going was wanting to see who won in the love triangle. Which will probably be Maxon... :(

I feel the exact same thing. I thought she was leading towards Aspen. But it feels like it would be a waste if she just went back to Carolina.

If Maxon ends up with Celeste I may either scream so the world can hear it or go to Illea and personally brake up Maxon and Celeste. If Illea existed, that is.

I don't really care, Celeste is just an all around unpleasant person. There are no redeeming qualities about her whatsoever and I don't know any fan of the series that would care if she died.

Brittany Bardman Yeah, I think that Kiera wouldn't put us through the eternal suffering of Celeste becoming the princess.

I am going into seventh grade, and I guess you could consider me young. I agree- I think we should share opinions but not to the point where it crushes someone else's. I'm OK with persuasion but disagreement leaves me a little edgy. I know it's REALITY, but can't we all get along?

Not that I want you to have this opinion but I think I am still for Team Maxon.

Yeah, I agree that Celeste should get punished like Marlee did, but I don't think she deserves death, and also, I think Kriss does even more so....I mean, Kriss is actually NICE....

Still for ASPEN even if I'm one of the only ones!

I probably shouldn't hate Kriss as much as I do but I can't help it. Something about her is so slap worthy lol.

Brittany Bardman I don't know why I hate Kriss, either. She seems to be so perfect. Maybe too perfect for Illea and Maxon, though...

Oh...that's a cool idea, going of that. Instead Ilea hating her and ruining her, what if it started a controversy. Like lower castes would start acting out and side with America but Higher caste would agree with Celeste and it starts a little fight within Ilea?

This sounds interesting, I kind of hope we see another love interest for Aspen in it.

message 328: by Munchkin (new) - added it

Munchkin America seems to be somewhat of an unreliable narrator. I'm team Maxon, but somewhat reluctantly, because to be honest, neither seem to have ever entirely stood by America. Maxon is toying with her and Kriss is really annoying, and I have a pretty bad feeling that something will happen, and that Aspen and America's relationship will be forever messed up.

Brittany Bardman Elizabeth wrote: "What if Kriss is apart of the rebels now wouldn't that be shocking"

That certainly would be shocking! Maybe that was why she was keeping herself so perfect- so that people would not think she was a rebel. What if Maxon AND Kriss are rebels? I doubt it, but that would be a bit of a ridiculous situation, and as you said Elizabeth, it would be quite shocking.

Brittany Bardman Therealbadkitty wrote: "Elizabeth wrote: "What if Kriss is apart of the rebels now wouldn't that be shocking"

I think I might love it, too, because it could give America a chance with the crown and Maxon's love...

I also agree... that would be SUCH a cool idea for a part in the book, Stephanie! Kriss would probably be forgotten... but I have a question for you all:

What if Stephanie's scenario did happen? Which side do you think Kriss would pick if she didn't refuse to pick or if she wouldn't be forgotten?

A true love story! SUCH a cool scenario! Maxon and Aspen would flee to where she was about to be sentenced for treason and Maxon would stop it and then kiss her in front of everybody... wonderful scenario!

Stephanie Dong Brittany wrote: "Stephanie wrote: "Elizabeth wrote: "Brittany wrote: "Angela wrote: "Sydney wrote: "Still for Maxon. It looks like she w him anyways.

I'm want to lean towards the obvious she would go for Ilea, cause well she is a fan favorite in America, and might get extra good treatment for that. She could also become a symbol on why America is a bad example for the rebellion. But....she has a weird friendship with America...so maybe America might influence her to join the rebellion, and in using Kris's connections they could be the dream team against the Ilea, but I'm kind of leaning towards the first one

Stephanie Dong Elizabeth wrote: "Brittany wrote: "Elizabeth wrote: "Stephanie wrote: "Elizabeth wrote: "Brittany wrote: "Angela wrote: "Sydney wrote: "Still for Maxon. It looks like she w him anyways.

I think after that fight Maxon might withdraw a little bit and America would get made at Aspen if you were to fond out about it. Then America would have to comfort Maxon . But I don't think Maxon would fire Aspen. And after America comforts Maxon, Maxon tries harder.

Hmmm... Even though we are sort of in America's head 24/7 . In her free time America might day dream about the rebels that stole those books and didn't call her put when she was in the tree.

Then one day the girl comes back, proposes an idea to her America thinks about, something bad happens that the king causes and that pushes America over the edge to join the rebels?

Angela And what is up with trilogies? What can't they keep going? It doesn't have to be 15 like Morganville vampires, but 5 would be nice. Every one has jumped on the trilogy train.

Oh my goodness, th house of night novels, I keep reading them but it just, omg why do I read them. Yes they so need to stop. But if you look at warriors, their books are good, all gazillion of them. But they have multiple authors so yah. I kind of wish this would go for maybe a 4 book seires

message 340: by Angela (new) - rated it 5 stars

Angela I don't know maybe its the authors. I know a story can be wrapped up with a few books. It's really about the author knowing when the characters story are done. I absolutely hate it when there is no choice made between love triangles and things are left open to reader... I don't know interpretation. I mean you wrote the book tell us who ends up together. I know I'll be mad if it ends like the Dellerium series or strange angels.

Oh and what about when an author of a truly epic series writes another one and it sucks bc it could live up to it. I also think its silly when they end a series like the mortal Instruments and then go back and add more. (Not saying the books were bad) ok I'm just ranting...

Yah, it's a lot to put in, but the elite was a bit boring, what is she going to put in the one to make it an amazing finale?

Wait...what? When was the mortal instrument seires suppose to end?

And delirium....way too abprut, yah I didn't like the end to that.

Also I think this idea is quite different and the seires is well publicized so I think it might have been a better to go a little further then a trilogy cause there is a lot of stuff that can be milked

Angela I actually enjoyed the Ellite. Maybe it's because I knew what was going to happen before I read it. And the fact I read it at work in the span of 5 or 6 hours. Well I'm off to finish The Eternity Cure!

My sister Said the mortal instruments was supposed to be a trilogy. Then they added a few more books. And I didn't even bother reading delirium. Once I realize how was going to finish I couldn't even bring myself to read past Pandemonium, only to realize there was no good conclusion. I used talk to type so if I have any mistakes excuse them.

I know! I thought the trailer for Beautiful Creatures looked kinda good, so I decided to read the book and ten go see the movie! But I was SOOO disappointed in bothe the book and movie.
