message 955: by Leea, Escape Artist (new)

Leea | 1437 comments I'll wait to read WWZ then... Maybe closer to the June release date. I don't have anytime to read the last few days. Today is the last day of school for both boys - so glad and excited for all the fun we're going to have this summer.

I'm going to start Fire Inside (Chaos, #2) by Kristen Ashley (which is a read now on NG)

message 956: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 817 comments since Fire Inside is a read now...could I read without reading the previous book in the series?

The audio book is great.

message 958: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments I am reading And With Madness Comes the Light (Experiment in Terror, #6.5) by Karina Halle and I am so sad to be coming to an end. :((((

I need something else as intense and addictive. Fast!

message 959: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments So I am trying to decide (to make-up for finishing what is out of Dex and Perry) from the following:

Cut & Run (Cut & Run #1) by Madeleine Urban Sins & Needles (The Artists Trilogy, #1) by Karina Halle Broken by Megan Hart

message 960: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 817 comments flip a coin? I'm partial to Ty/Zane, but that being said - I think C&R is one of the weaker ones in the series...the later ones are better

message 961: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments That is good to know, when I start it I will keep that in mind.

I realized I should get some arcs done which I have been neglecting so I am going to read A Witch's Handbook of Kisses and Curses (Half Moon Hollow, #2) by Molly Harper

Ian (setaian) | 640 comments Regina wrote: "I realized I should get some arcs done which I have been neglecting so I am going to read A Witch's Handbook of Kisses and Curses (Half Moon Hollow, #2) by Molly Harper"

I like Molly Harper. Will be interested to hear your thoughts. I quite enjoyed this book, I don't think it was the best in the series but was still good. The title is a little cumbersome....just about every time I wanted to look it up on GR I'd get it wrong.

lol, kept on using "to" rather than "of" and "guide" instead of "handbook".

message 963: by Leea, Escape Artist (new)

Leea | 1437 comments Regina, Cut & Run is the next series that Wendy and I are going to read together, if you want to join us. Not sure when we're going to start. haha! Wendy?

message 964: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments Great -- I'll join you if I can!

Ian, I like her too! I am really liking The Witch's Handbook. It is the first time I read her work instead of listening (the narrations are fabulous). But yeah, the title is not the best -- when I started to write it just a few lines up in this post I had to hover over the cover to remember it!

I like how the humor is woven in but still stands out. And it seems rooted in family and friendship relationships. I also liked the reference to the romance book about werewolves set in Alaska. ;)

It's nice to see the start of the relationship between Ty and Zane though.

message 968: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments I have the audio and will be starting it it somewhere in the next month -- not sure if I will read or listen. I know the friend who lent me her audio version didn't like the book so much, so maybe I should read it.

Dee - I can't either!

I'm ready to start whenever you are! I know you're super busy this weekend, and actually I have a lot going on too. After that though, I have nothing scheduled next week, nothing until the 3rd when you, me and Stacia were gonna start Under the Dome by Stephen King .

message 973: by Lori (new)

Lori (lorimcd) Back to Troubleshooters - Into the Storm Into the Storm (Troubleshooters, #10) by Suzanne Brockmann . I don't remember Izzy being quite this up-front-and-center before OR this funny.

message 974: by Gwennie, Mrs. Bookworm (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) | 1116 comments He wasn't, he was mentioned from the beginning, but he doesn't start growing into his character until Into the Storm.

I love Izzy! He's the BEST character in the series!

message 981: by Kay (new)

Kay (calikay) | 667 comments I finished reading Touch of Frost (Mythos Academy, #1) by Jennifer Estep and I really liked it so I just started Kiss of Frost (Mythos Academy, #2) by Jennifer Estep .

message 982: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 817 comments Yeah - she has another Kentucky book die out in July/August I think

message 983: by Ian (new)

Ian (setaian) | 640 comments Regina wrote: "Oh! Ian, can you let me know when it is available for request? Yes, it is december. It is available for preorder."

No problem...Pocket Books do seem to give a lot of lead time for their reviewers so I'm guessing it will go up sometime around August.

message 984: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments Cool, I am auto approved for them. So excited!

Dee -- do you mean Harper does? I didn't realize that.

message 985: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 817 comments Yeah - it follows bluegrass baby that came out late year

message 986: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments I just saw this on her site: Rhythm and Bluegrass -- it has an October 2013 release date. That is great news. I still need to read or listen to the first one.

message 987: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 817 comments Yeah that one ;) I'm checking edelweiss for it periodically

Ian (setaian) | 640 comments Regina wrote: "Cool, I am auto approved for them. So excited!

As far as I can tell, still to come this year she is releasing; A Witch's Handbook...(this Tuesday I think) and How to Run with a Naked Werewolf (December). I may have read somewhere that she's working on the next in the Bluegrass series but I can't remember where and I can't find any mention of it anywhere...so don't quote me on that.

She could be contributing to another anthology, or perhaps releasing another free short story but I haven't heard anything about that. My author stalker abilities are failing me.

message 989: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 817 comments Regina posted above - oct for her bluegrass one - I've read Witches' already

Tellulah Darling (tellulahdarling) Regina wrote: "Breaking the Rules?"

Yup. Just finished.

Dee, I heart Izzy too. I never would have thought this but he's my fav of the Troubleshooter boys. Great book.

Except, with the Cut & Run series done, EiT done and Troubleshooters done, I'm at a loss at what to read. Need to find me some great YA again. Switch gears for a while.

I hope things are starting to look a little better for you.

message 993: by Ian (new)

Ian (setaian) | 640 comments I just have to say...if you like Contemporary Romance, you really should read Meant to Be by Terri Osburn.

Imagine if the best of Virgin River and Lucky Harbor were put into a single book...then add a scruffy dog, a sassy sidekick and a hippie bartender and you have Meant to Be.

I'm totally feeling the love for this book!

Meant to Be by Terri Osburn

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments Oh and it is free for Prime members to check out on Amazon!

message 998: by Samantha (new)

Samantha | 419 comments Yeah. It seems to have a love triangle which I hate but I'm still going to try it.

message 999: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments I'm interested in how the author portrays lawyers. I also don't mind triangles if they are done alright.

I am excited, I just got an arc and once I finish A Witch's Handbook of Kisses and Curses (Half Moon Hollow, #2) by Molly Harper , I will be starting Fire & Frost by Meljean Brook which has a Mr. Real (Code of Shadows, #1) by Carolyn Crane pre-quel.
