Beth, you might be clicking on the truncated link in a quotation.

"Get Results and Compare" at the end should let you know :)

Ron | 6 comments It works fine for the first 100 books but it can't find the page for the next two pages. I have 128 read so far.

Tomas Grizzly | 448 comments Now that I finished Blood Song I am at the grand total of three. Fourth coming soon as I'll probably join the re-read of Fahrenheit 451 in March. More on my offline TBR list, with no ETA at all.

message 658: by Tim (new)

Tim Seabrook | 6 comments From the current list, I've read 25 and a bit (I started Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell but never finished it.) and all of this before I joined GR or this group.

So just under 10% of all the books in the list

Chyina | 9 comments I've read 5 books so far, which is surprising as I thought I would have read more, lol. I guess I have a lot to catch up on.

RJ - Slayer of Trolls (hawk5391yahoocom) Now at 63 after finishing the books I mentioned above as well as Leviathan Wakes by James S.A. Corey and Lord of Light by Roger Zelazny.

If you like what you see on the shelf, you have some real treats ahead of you, then!!

Nice work, Randy! I should do a total soon, too...Curious if I've hit 50 yet. /shame

message 667: by YouKneeK (new)

YouKneeK | 1412 comments According to my spreadsheet, I reached 100 last night when I finished The Summer Tree.

I’m still on track to catch up in about 25 years when taking into account the 24 new books added each year. :)

well done!!

message 669: by Coralie (new)

Coralie | 106 comments I currently have 31 still to read, including next month's. I am reading Weaveworld now which could take me a while. Some months, like this one, are a good chance to catch up as I have already read both books.

I just loved Weaveworld

message 671: by Anna (new)

Anna (vegfic) | 10435 comments I'm a bit of a dork, so I spent weeks trying to hit 100 with a special book. I finally chose The Speed of Dark, which I just finished. I'm glad that's the one that pushed me to 100 group books read, although it's possible my count is off. I've tried to make sure all the group books are on a certain shelf, so that I can just look at the number of books on there, but that means it's possible I've missed something. I hope not, but at least this should mean I'm over a hundred. It took way longer than I expected, and I'm not in a hurry to try and hit any other goals anytime soon.

Congrats, Anna!! That's a big milestone!

Leticia (leticiatoraci) 41 so far, the get result button isn't working for me.

message 674: by Jacqueline (new)

Jacqueline | 2428 comments 18. Not great but not too bad considering I haven’t read much in the last 30 years. I’m a bit behind. I was expecting a lot less actually.

I have a number of the others on my shelves at the moment (I finished The Night Circus yesterday) and I picked up Leviathan Wakes from the library yesterday so it looks like it will be read next.

Get it, friends! Doing great!

message 676: by Leticia (new)

Leticia (leticiatoraci) I managed to make it work now by starting goodreads with my email and not facebook account. Funnily though it only counts 33 books.

In any case, I made a list of the books I read or plan to read soon:

Leticia, this looks like a really good set of books for a goal! Good mix of short and doorstop, quirky and serious, light and dark...I hope you find some new favorites in there :D

message 678: by Jim (new)

Jim | 2 comments Leticia i've read a few on your list and enjoyed them all, especally liked The Way of Shadows (Night Angel trilogy). The Assassins Apprentice (Farseer Trilogy) and The Final Empire (Mistborn). The only problem I find when putting books from a series in a reading list is I end up reading the series and not finishing the list lol .. going to give a few of the other books you have chosen a go though

message 679: by Leticia (new)

Leticia (leticiatoraci) Thanks Allison and James. I do like a good mixture of genres and often follow series to the end.

That is awesome Coralie! I have about 40 missing and falling further behind every month.

Karen Hannum 75/257

Seems like a lot of my tastes run slightly differently from the majority. Also I like to finish series and looks like most series are represented by the first book in it only. So that accounts for things like Elric, George and the Dragon, Garret P.I. and all the others that are weighing down my shelves.

Karen

Still pretty good, Karen!! Better than me. I'm also not sure I think all of these are my picks (even the ones I helped pick!) but it's nice to get new ideas sometimes :)

I loved the George and the Dragon. It was a very fun read.

Kateb | 959 comments I love reading this thread, but wonder where you all get the time to fill in the book read etc. I am currently reading about two or 3 books a week ( retired !!!) and find even at that rate I cant get time , or maybe cant get the effort to fill all in.

But I am getting so many ideas , keep it up

I exported them to a spreadsheet and keep track there

exported what, the bookshelf list??? I have been doing a spreadsheet of what I read to keep track particularly if a new book comes out for a series , although I use fict fact for that as well.

this sounds interesting

message 687: by CBRetriever (new)

CBRetriever | 6141 comments I think I had to do a copy paste on all the pages of the bookshelf list and format them. perhaps someone has one somewhere they could put where it's easy to access for you? mine is integrated with several other spreadsheets which won't work outside my computer.

message 688: by Kateb (new)

Kateb | 959 comments ta. I am able to do that sort of thing, just when! since I retired I have taken up several projects and if time its ….time to read!!!

so I will try it one day. although just got home after 5 hours and it is time to read

You can get a rough count on the Listopia I think. But it's unreliable. :(

message 690: by Bobby (new)

Bobby | 869 comments I'm up to 48. There are a lot I've never heard of, but there are tons that have been on my radar and I've just never gotten around to.

Anthony (albinokid) | 1485 comments I just found this thread and if my count is accurate I’ve read 38 out of 261 on the list.

message 692: by ~ Giulia ~ (new)

~ Giulia ~ | 146 comments Last year I was at 48/237 = 20.25% total (10.83% of the sci-fi shelf, 29.91% of the fantasy shelf)
Now:
65/261 = 24.9% total
22/132 = 16.67% of the sci-fi shelf
43/129 = 33.33% of the fantasy shelf
DNF: 1

message 694: by Gabi (new)

Gabi | 3441 comments Just went through the group bookshelf. I've got a lot to do ;) - I'm at 16/263 - but some of them I read such a long time ago that I can't even rate them, cause I don't remember much of the plot.

message 695: by Karin (new)

Karin I've rated 44 or 45 of them, but I didn't go through the list carefully to find others I've read, either marked or not marked read. If they are classic ones, I could have read them long ago, plus even if I mark them read, I might not have rated them.

message 696: by Barry (new)

Barry (boprawira) | 64 comments Decent, I guess.

As of 31 July 2018:
Books read : 51/ 263
Books owned but not yet read : 16

I was expecting much lower maybe in the high 30s. Should get that number close to 60 by the end of the year.

message 697: by Kristy (new)

Kristy (blackfox92) | 12 comments 15/100 so far, but only joined last month, so plenty more to go.
Good to see that I own a few that are on the list... now I just need to read them:)

Looking forward to it! David

Kaa | 1548 comments According to GR, I've so far read 65 out 265 and 1 is a DNF/come back later, but I also have several more that I've actually read or DNF'd at some point in my life but don't have recorded.
