Read 15 of the 2018 group reads, making sure to hit at least one every month. That gets me up to 36 off the bookshelf. With many, many already on the TBR pile so we'll see how much ground I make up this year.

Looks like overall I've read 52 from the bookshelf, most of them YEARS ago. Quite a few more are somewhere on my TBR list, though I probably won't pick up much ground this year as some of the 12 I've chosen will be re-reads.

Wow, quite the list! Happy I have read some, but happier that I don't recognize many on there.

Oryx and Crake is on my to-do list
However, I am plodding through The Wheel of Time right now (along with all the shorts) and that is my only Fantasy / Sci-fi allowance. And I am on book 4 lol. Might squeeze a couple in on a break from the series.

Haha that's the problem with reading door stops, John, is that they're so satisfying, but they eat up so much book time! I hope you're enjoying it though :) All the other books will be waiting when you need!

Of the 275 books currently on the bookshelf I've only read 21 with maybe another 30 or so on my TBR at the moment. Looks like I have some serious catching up to do. :)

Yeah, we're a large machine, what with the monthly group reads, monthly re-reads, unofficial buddy reads and now the short fiction club. Hopefully everyone finds at least one place and style of discussion that works for them :)

Today on 1-1-18 I’m at 112/249, or 45%. Progress!

1-25-19 I’m at 125 (synchronicity!) of 275, or 45.4545%. Heh.

If I can double the number of books I read this year to 25, I might hit 50% by this time next year. That’s the holy grail percentage for me, since I’m never going to read some of the books on the shelf.

Nope! I'm looking at planned reads & plugging my ears going "Nah nyah nah nyah nah" right now. I did a bunch of them and need a few days of reading whatever I want. So somewhat random picks that may correlate with the SFFBC List or not.

I figure I'll hit 100 in March. Yay goals!

I'm kind of surprised and glad that I've read 68 of the books on the Club Books list already. But that's only about a fifth and seeing the list makes me realized how many I would actually like to read.

There are 23 books from the list that I already own, so I suppose I should make them my priority, huh?

I just rechecked how I was going and discovered that I passed the 250 mark earlier this month! I don't think I will ever read all of them including the two I gave up on but I now have just 25 unread.

23 so far. First thing this group has shown me is how much other people read, and how much I've got to catch up on. Its easy to get the impression you read more than you do when you read the most of any of your friends and family. Thought I was a big fish in fantasy reading, turns out I've just been in small pond before...

Mark, ain't that the truth! Here I was, thinking that always having a book on hand made me very bookish, when GR showed me that people are reading a book every three days!

Well, I can't keep up with that, but isn't it wonderful to know there are so many great books out there waiting for you to find them? I'm mod and I still haven't read even most of our books yet--I like to hang onto them for when I'm not sure what I want to read next. Our shelf is really great for discovery!

LOL! I SO know that feeling. Everytime I go "yeah! I've read another one from the bookshelf" and then start counting again it is like a cold shower … "well ….'only' 219 more to go" ^^'
