Please Introduce Yourself, Let's All Get To Know Each Other

I can talk about books all day long! Totally a favorite topic of mine. I've read..."
Wow Matt, many of those authors are my faves and what's great is most of those names aren't those mainstream thriller readers have heard of. Eisler, Kyle Mills, Taylor Thor. De Mille etc..
Have you tried Quinn Olson, Greg Rucka, PT Deutermann, Joseph Finder, John Connolly?
Xerox used to have the best danged sales training in the world and several of the world's corporates benefitted from it.
Hope that's still the case.
Hello and welcome,

Bless your heart. Welcome back to us. We have missed you, girl!!!!
See, there is life after "difficult times". Lean on your buddies. We will hold you up.
There's not one of us that has not gone thru our own he.........ah..........hard times.
(Hugs) Welcome Home.

Looking forward to meeting others and talking about favorite books. My personal favorites are pretty much anything by Sandra Brown and the HeartSick series by Chelsea Cain.
I'm a native of East Tennessee, but have lived in Atlanta for quite awhile now. Hello! ::waves::

I grew up on a small farm about half way between Johnson City and Kingsport. The address was Rural Route 2, Jonesborough.

Small world - I know that area well! I'm from Kingsport. I grew up there and attended college at ETSU. :-) Good to meet you here on GR!

Welcome Leslie! I am in awe of communicating with real authors.
Welcome Robin!

First, let me say........what a lovely photo.
Secondly, I am married to an East Tennessean!!!!! My David was raised in LaFollette, just north of Knoxville. We lived in Kingsport for a short while, while he worked in Surgoinsville. Seems to me, we went to some kind of a festival in Jonesborough. Wouldn't we have driven thru Jones. Had we been headed out to a huge lake??? Shoot, even the lakes name escapes me.
Am I thinking of the right area? Somewhere around there was a restaurant called the Crazy Cajun. You could get an excellent Muffalatta and shine, at the same time. I think it was somewhere in that area.
I am a native Californian..........so the area was Greek for me. TN was Greek to me, but unbelievably beautiful. Lovely place to visit.
Welcome aboard!!!!!
Welcome Leslie and Robin! :)

And Ter'e: Thank you! And yes, very familiar with that area. My aunt lives in Jonesborough and yes, there is a big festival there, if I recall. And there are quite a few lakes in that area - Boone Lake is a big one and there's also Patrick Henry Lake. I haven't been to the Crazy Cajun but that sounds like something I'd go for! I'll have to ask my brother if it's there - he lives in Johnson City. Nice to meet you!

Hi Rhonda!
Welcome, I know you will like this group. I get all my suggestions of Thrillers to read from this group. I also like the authors Linwood Barclay and Harlan Coben.

I loved A TAP ON THE WINDOW it has lots of twists and turns! I am sure you will like it! Please log on and ad some books you enjoyed.
Welcome!
Paige

I have yet to read the first Harlan Coben book. I own several, but have not read them. Help me.......what do you enjoy about his writing?????
Thx.

The funny thing is though our mail came out of the Jonesborough Post Office we never went there. We were about 2 miles down a dirt road (Old Fordtown Rd.) from Grays Station which is now called Gray. I went to elementary school there. We'd go into Kingsport every week of so to buy groceries and "stuff like that".

The area was gorgeous, but Kingsport didn't offer alot for me. Beautiful home, beautiful area.......but it didn't capture my heart.
Sometimes there is no place like home..........I'm heading back to MO, I hope. Thats where our kids are. Thats where we feel "at home".
Mike, did you ever go to The Crazy Cajun????? Awesome food. Weirdest batjrooms in the world. It was a cool place to go. And the shine.........??
LOL

I guess I liked Harlin's books because there were so many twists and turns never boring. I read Six Years and just brought home another of his books. I will let you know how I like it.

His early Myron Bolitar books are very good. I don't like his stand alones that much.
