I live South Coast of England and work part time in the motor trade. I score for my local cricket team in the Summer and play pool in the pub! I watch (while reading) lots of other sports live and on tv. Too many to list!
The rest of the time I read. About 300 books a year which I also review! Most genres apart from romance/erotica!
I share a house with my big bro and, as I’m responsible for the chores, it’s usually pretty messy (but clean) that’s cos I read when I’m supposed to be doing them! But bro don’t mind as long as the cat we share with a neighbour gets fed!
That’s me! Thanks for reading.

My name is Trina and I live in the US (Texas). I'm originally from Philadelphia, the city of brotherly love:-) I've worked in law for over 20 years and now I teach legal courses and do pro bono work as a Mediator and Arbitrator in various courthouses. I fell in love with reading at the age of 8 when I read Ramona the Pest. I'm very excited to be a part of this group and look forward to lively discussions with you all.
Welcome Trina

I’m Mark and I’m from London and read about 1 book a month
I recently read Stasi Child and now seem to seek out thrillers from the Cold War
Any recommendations greatly received!"
Welcome Mark. Stasi Child won the Yeovil International Prize where my own book Getting Tyson was shortlisted.

I love a good thriller!
I’m Kelly and live in MA with my 2 teens and 5 cats ( yes! You read that correctly! Adopted 2 and found the others 2 weeks old in my barn). I like to read almost anything but lately my interest has been with mysteries and thrillers. I’ve also been reading real crime stories as well.

I am Anthony or you prefer Tony. I also answer to Antoine, Anton, Antonio or any similar variation, depending on my global outlook at the time.
I just joined on recommendation from Wsm, so I hope I can contribute something worthwhile to the group over time.
I am now retired after spending the last 32 years working on a hospital ward as a clerk which in reality meant being a part time social worker, caterer, administrator, co-ordinator and general dogs body.
I also was a union representative for my profession and mediator for staff and management in dispute settling.
Old fashioned, life long book reader and collector. My major specialty is film with more than 4000 books (many rare) plus 3500 film magazines and 3000 CDs specializing in film music (not counting all the old vinyl), DVDs and all the other relative stuff.
I love a good mystery/thriller (who doesn't?) and have a vast interest in the genre, ever since reading Sherlock Holmes as a schoolboy (sometime in another century!)
I live in Melbourne, Australia. I grew up in the outer east of the city and in the Dandenongs. I have lived in the inner city for the past 25 years, a stone's throw from the Yarra River and spend part of my day feeding native birds and discussing world events with my very vocal 14 year old tabby cat Pawtucket.
Apart from reading and writing book and film reviews, I spend far too much time watching cable news, sporting events and old movies. I like all movies that entertain and challenge me. I have become particularly interested in silent films recently and really enjoy foreign-language films as an extra way of learning about other cultures / contrary points of view, etc. especially when I reside geographically so far away from the rest of the world.
Re mystery books: I probably prefer contemporary novels but I'll read anything if it is worth reading! And always looking for exciting new writers.
I am also a longtime Simenon fan - ever since watching the old Rupert Davies -BBC Maigret series as a kid and buying the famous old Penguin editions with the green covers. Since then I have collected numerous editions and still regularly read them - probably not thrillers as such but I'm sure they still qualify for discussion.
Enough of me and my obsessions.
Looking forward to participating with the group sometime soon!

Many thanks for your greeting.
Congratulations on your writing - I will look out for them.
Keep as well as possible and keep on with the writing - must be very heartening to achieve what so many us never get round to.
Would love to know more about your days as a "struggling" actor - sounds fascinating.
You're heading towards winter so stay warm and cosy - we're going the other way. And while in Melbourne it has been surprisingly cool so far, a lot of the country has been extremely hot with scores of bushfires raging, resulting in death and destruction and taking a terrible toll on native flora and fauna.
And as Melbourne and environs is one of the most fire prone areas in the world, we can only hope we don't experience similar when the real hot weather strikes here.
All the very best, Alan, enjoy reading and writing mystery novels and thanks again for the greeting.

Looking forward to seeing what everyone else is reading.

We love animals and have memberships to our local zoo, aviary, and aquarium. We (well mostly my husband) love watching movies. We love to travel - our favorite place being the Philippines and we love to scuba dive.
My husband and I both work full-time - my husband is an independent Medicare insurance broker and also helps seniors qualify for Medicaid if they need to stay at a long-term care facility. I work for state government.
I've always had a love for reading, but lost it somewhere along the way during my school years and just got back into reading 3-4 years ago - my coworker suggested we read Brother by Ania Ahlborn together and I was hooked! I've since found my preferred genres are thriller/mystery/horror, contemporary romance, and the occasional historical fiction or non-fiction.
I'm always looking for new, amazing thrillers to read. I feel like a druggy chasing a high - the more thrillers I read, the better I get at predicting the twist, but I'm always wanting to be completely surprised.
Anyway, this is long and I'm just happy to be here!

Hi Ladies,
I love my thrillers, as of course we all do.
But also a huge film fan, especially the classics.
Lots of film topics.
Also love my music
Again lots of topics.
Lots of great recommendations, great authors.

Thanks for joining up, Marie. Looking forward to reading and enjoying your comments.

I'm Rob and I hale from Victoria Australia. I'll read anything, in fact my wife tells me that I suffer from OCRD for the uninitiated that's obsessive compulsive reading disorder, but I'm happy with my disorder. Looking forward to your review and comments.
Thanks to Woman Reading for the invite.

That's already an other OCRD I display.

I've slowly been getting back into reading the last few years and it's turned into a full blown obsession this year (2017- 12 books; 2018 - 25 books; 2019 - 42 so far, will probably hit 50). The majority of those are thrillers. I'm currently reading Violet by Scott Thomas and some of my favorites that I've read this year are The Silent Patient, The Anonymous Girl, Lock Every Door, A Stranger in the House, and Someone We Know.
I'm really excited to connect with other thriller lovers as well as find good thrillers! I feel like I've read so many that most endings are predictable.

Thanks for the invite.
Welcome Kandice,
Nice to see you are busy already on our film section/posts.
Surprisingly these seem to be so popular lately as a few of us love films as well as "A Good Thriller"
Although want to keep everyone happy.
Great author recommendations here.

I hope all our new members can add all the books they have read to our total.
As a group we have read over 1,000,000 pages and want to reach 1.5 million if not more....
You can also add your own totals to keep as well.

Thank you for the welcome and for the invite Wsm!

I'm Sonja from South Africa, a happily lone mom with my 13 year old son. Glad I found this group as I'm totally addicted to thrillers and mysteries, especially the ones you don't see coming.
