What are you reading, Part II? (2013--New Year, New Books!)
A Sudden, Fearful Death by Anne Perry is the first read of the year. Must say that William Monk would fit as a dangerous hero, given his ruthlessness and mysterious past.
Lady Danielle aka The Book Huntress wrote: "Sounds like you are off to a good year of reading, Charmaine and D."Absolutely! This book is a definite win!

Reading The Search for Sam today.
I actually started it shortly before midnight last night, but I was too inebriated to remember the few pages i read so I'm starting over.
Hey gals, today I started Seduction and Snacks by Tara Sivec and barely on Ch. 6 & have already fallen in love with it. :)
The first book in the William Monk series is The Face of a Stranger, which sets up the events and characters for the overall arc of the series.
Hehe, Katie. Sounds like you had a good New Year celebration.
Jane, that's great!
Thanks, Rebecca!

I'm reading A Case Of Love. If you like TSTL heroines then this is the book for you. I don't know why I'm determined to finish it.

Right now I'm reading Shiver by Karen Robards. It's just getting going and I'm not really feeling the h, she's 24 or so and I don't think she's reacting to her situation quite like a 24 year old would....even for the street wise character that she is. =/
I just finished reading The Beast in Him for the December book read.Going to start with Angels' Dance by Nalini Singh
I'm 100 pages away from the end of
after waiting ages to get the book and then having to renew the borrowing three times because work got a bit mad and I couldn't get to it !
Only about 2 hours of reading left until I finish Sweet Dreams, must admit, It's been a bumpy ride but I am now deeply engrossed in this book and am absolutely depressed that I have to work when I could be finishing this book instead!! Looking forward to starting Dragon Bound though ;) bring on hot, saucy dragon smex <3
I read Shades of Gray by Maya Banks (for some reason goodreads can't find the cover for it!) It was a seriously good read though!
I rarely watch TV but I've been sick & I started to watch Sons of Anarchy for the first time. I've lost my mind. I can't seem to stop watching. Totally getting my dangerous hero fill w/Jax. It's time for me to put the remote down & get back to reading. First on my list for the new year is

I still need to finish this series. They have it on audio at my library, so that's good!

I hope you feel better, Alisa. Glad you have a DH to spend some time with. Hounded was a great book. Loved it!
Mandy, Dragon Bound was awesome. Can't wait to see what you think of it!
Lauren, I'm still juggling books and have yet to finish my first read of 2013.

today so that's my first official read."Finally finished this book. It's a good little read and I'm hoping to get the second one soon. It's a typical vampire story with a twist which comes at the end and is unfortunately where the book ends, so now I need to get the second to know what happens. Note to self, reading takes longer when your doing housework at the same time lol. I'm now going to read
.

I finished three books so far this year:
Merlyn's Raven (4 stars)--good if you like Arthurian lore.
Wren's Fantasy (3.5 stars)--reads like a mix of KMM's Druid series, 300 the movie, and Thor the movie. Pretty good.
and
Chosen (3.5 stars)--I am happy to say I didn't dislike Kyana in this one compared to the first two books.

My first books are the merlin maiden series.
I've been in a Regency Spy Thriller kick and love really strong women. This series appealed to me because the women weren't just smart and strong willed but also had the skills to kick butt (even though a lot of things seemed not quite plausible...I still love it.)
I just downloaded What Chris Wants on Kindle. It was a pretty quick read. A nice end to the series from Lori Foster and a pretty good start to the year.

"I really liked that short, loved how everyone was protective of Chris.
I liked Spider's Bite, Tammy. Gin is a seriously lethal heroine. She doesn't play around. Nice to see that for a change.
