What are you reading, Part II? (2013--New Year, New Books!)
I've started four books in the last few days!Currently, the one I'm really enjoying is
I didn't know what to expect, but it's turning out to be more light-hearted than I anticipated. I'm really liking it, though.
Working my way through Lisa Marie Rice's Dangerous series.
,
, and
. I read her Protectors books last year. There not bad. I've read worse.

But it's a decent 'guilty indulgence' series.

I'll look for your thoughts on Lover Mine. I am a huge fan of JM/Xhex as a couple.
I'm enjoying Mistborn. Just started it today.

I read Dangerous Passion and I loved it. My first read by LMR. She is an author I want to follow.

I read
It was ok. I have to interlibrary loan her books becasue my library doesn't have them so it takes awhile in between books. I did like her Protectors series

I read
It was o..."I see her books more as, "I'm on a plane and need some entertainment between pre-dinner whiskey and meal and uncomfortable sleep," rather than, "life-changing read". If you're in the right mood, her books are great fun. I personally prefer more realistic romantic suspense...
Though the ending is sort of predictable, I think this one:
is better.(Edited to say that pre-dinner whiskey only happens when I fly Lufthansa, and they offer about 10000 drinks on every flight!)
That said, I read her blog, and I think she's sort of amazing, and I have a lot of respect for her. I also saw her list her favourite books, and she named some of MY favourites!

intrigued me. I found it so creepy and awesome. When I picked up Horns, expected more of the same. It was okay, but didn't grip me. I am curious to see Daniel Radcliffe in the movie though.
I've heard that Heart-Shaped Box is great. I have that book. I wish I had time to read it next month for October. Maybe I will.
I read the Heart-shaped box years ago. I can't remember the specifics but it was creepy. I didn't love the book but it was a'ight.
Don't think the cover does it justice, but it's better than the old cover:
which makes it look like a bodice ripper (it's sci-fi)!

I was debating whether I should start reading
or
but the Immortal Circus won (solely based on their covers of course).
Right now I'm reading
. For all of you into rockstar romance, right now it's only $0.99 for 12 different novels and novellas. Now that's bang for your buck.
I was trying not to start
because I don't know when the next book will be out and I'm impatient but I gave in...

Just finished The Darkest Whisper by Gena ShowalterReally enjoying this series and actually really liked Sabin and Gwen in this one!
I finished Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson. Fun! :)I'm currently readingThe Last Hour of Gann. It's looong (there are 3 books worth of pages in it), but it's also very interesting. I never thought I was going to like this book, but reviews and buzz convinced me, and I'm glad I decided to try it.
Next, I'm planning to reread Guild Hunter series (or at least first three books ) to prepare for Archangel's Legion.

I don't know what to read next. As I said in another group, I am So Bored with books at the moment. I've had a long list of review copies, and even though I'm still not caught up there, nothing is catching my interest.
I start a book and am bored by halfway through. I think I'm going to take a look at my romantic suspense to-read list. I need some excitement!
Oh, Sonya, I feel you. I am having a major book reading slump right now. I spend more time surfing in tumblr and Pinterest, cleaning, and painting than reading books lately (despite my review book deadlines).
Book review deadlines make things less fun and my lendle loan expirations as well. I just finished
which was fun but I read it over several weeks and then enjoyed the very silly

too
namericanwordcat wrote: "What did you think?"It wasn't bad. I liked
and espcially
better. I didn't realized there was a novella in between so references to Richart and Jenna confused me for awhile but didn't ruin it or anything. Not sure I can wait a year to find out what happens with Zach and Lissette though.
I have been re-reading some of my real (paper) books. Today I started Brenda Joyce's Francesca Cahill series
. I remember it being the sexiest thing I'd read where no one even got to second base until maybe book 3. LOL

It's not always my go-to genre, but I had so many review books I was *forced* out of my slump!
I started
last night. I'm not sure what to make of it yet...
I am loving these paranormal/historical novellas about berserkers set in the Scottish Highlands:So far I've read
and
. They are quick and sexy reads, and I highly recommend! (They absolutely qualify as dangerous heroes. ☺)The last in the trilogy is

and loving it immensely!"I've not read her young adult series but I love the Immortals after Dark. I will have to give them a try.
I am finally getting through Jeaniene Frost's Cat & Bones series. I have heard great things about it but I don't care for 1st person stories. But I have been opening up more because I have found some great series written in this form. So I decided to tackle this series as it's been in my tbr pile for a long while. And so far I'm enjoying them immensely.
