Question.
I'm having a hard time with Option C: Paranormal Dangerous Heroes. The issue is with Superhero (caped crimefighter with powers), I don't have something that really fit. I just finished a book and was wondering if it could do:

The Blinding Knife by Brent Weeks is about a fantasy universe where light is used to perform tasks. No spoiler involved, just space conservation. (view spoiler)[ It's not really magic to use the color spectrum to fashion it to objects with your will (walls, swords, buildings, golems...). There is an art and technique involved but it is learned, all it needs is to be taught how to access it. All people are can manipulate a color but the more colors your are able to harness the better you are.

The character I am referring to is called the Prism because he can manipulate all the colors of the spectrum. He is revered as the ambassador of the religion of Chromeria. He is also directing armies and fighting a war. Everyone prostrate themselves and revere the Prism.

In many sense Gavin Guile is a hero and with his wit can do things that are (to his people) akin to a god. In fact he banishes Banes too. Does he deserve the superhero title? (hide spoiler)]

You may not use a United State of America more than once or a city more than once for any country. For example: You can use two locations in France, but you cannot use Paris or New York state again after the first time (one city and one state per book). You can use all the fifty states of the US once. Which means that if you stay with only US set books, you can still have the potential for 50 different books, since there are 50 different states. So if you have a book set in one state, you're done with that state for the rest of the challenge. It might require a bit of research if you aren't familiar with the cities in the US, but you can use this website if you want to find out.

Yes, I am, Danielle! I've read some "bad" ones, but that was expected. We can't win all the time... ;)

I managed to keep my buying frenzy under control - don't ask me how because I don't know, LOL - and don't request ARCs anymore. I found out that I enjoy reading much better since I don't have the pressure of a towering TBR "forcing" me to finish a book ASAP so I can move to the next one. My TBR is still huge, of course, but it isn't growing like crazy anymore. I'm happy! :)
