I like to have the list to hand, so I have created a "to do" list on my phone's notes app and colour-code them according to whether I own a physical copy, whether it's available at the library or whether I have the ebook. Currently, I have read or am reading all the ones my library carries, so until a stock shuffle I am trying to read up the ones I have on ebook!

I have been chasing that elusive 80% mark for a couple of years now.
Last of the Mohicans and September's selections have barely pushed me over the limit. 154/192, so right at 80%.

Progress in numbers is mainly due to the group voting for books I already had read, and me reading The Lottery (short!). Just getting to 50% will require some focus. I understand now how impressive 80% is.

Yep! My progress the past couple of months has been mainly to the fact the group keeps picking books I've already read.
I completed Lady Chatterley’s Lover last night. I have now finished 156/195 books on our group bookshelf. I have finally reached the illusive 80% completion mark. I'll enjoy it for a single day, tomorrow we add three more books to our shelf, and my 80% will disappear.

Whether it lasts or not, that is an amazing accomplishment. Congrats, Bob!

That is amazing Bob! Congratulations.
I barley increased my percentage since the last time I looked in June. I was at 64 books with 35%, now I'm at 74 and 38%. Still, I can't believe I started with only 14 in June of last year. I've also been reading a lot of classics that haven't been on the list due to my group challenges. This group is a great motivator. It's changed my life. You are all so inspirational. Thank you!

Impressive! Congratulations.
For me 50% will be an achievement.

Just a reminder, we have our own Listopia shelf were we can vote on our favorite group books. We currently have 91 members who have voted for their favorites, we have more than 6000 members. Click on the link below and give it try, I promise it doesn't hurt.

You've reminded me to vote on some more. I just wish these listopia lists let you vote on more than 100 books, I'm up to my limit now.

I didn't know it limited you to 100. That stinks. I voted for everything I read whether I liked it or not because it makes it easier to keep track of how many you've read. It is supposed to give a weighting based on where you rank the ones you voted for (in my case 1-74)

163/198-----82%"
Excellent, Duane!! You are an inspiration.

making 75 total,
/198 = 38%
(the sixteen were:
6 catch-ups: Princess Bride, Rebecca, Mme Bovary, Clockwork Orange, Time Machine and Matilda
6 read-with-group: Old Man & Sea, Pit & Pendulum, Slaughterhouse 5, Grapes Of Wrath, Brave New World and Dead Souls
4 added-that-I'd-already-read: Call Of Cthulu, For Whom The Bell Tolls, Three Men In A Boat and House Of Mirth
strangely no 5-Starrers for me there - closest were BellTolls, BraveNW, OldMan&Sea and ClockworkOrange

I've just managed to hit the 70% mark, 139/198.
I've added 33 books since I last checked in February. A long way from where I started when I first joined this group, but still a way to go!
Apr 2014 - 28 books
Apr 2015 - 42 books
Apr 2016 - 80 books
Sep 2016 - 95 books
Feb 2017 - 106 books
Oct 2017 - 139 books
The greatest thing about catching up on the groups bookshelf is that there are terrific books to choose from.
Duane, congrats on the number of shelf reads. I only had that 80% feeling for a day, so its back to the comfortable reading chair and the bliss of reading good books.

I enjoyed being over the 80% mark for a couple of months, but like Bob, I've dropped down below with November's selections.

Aug 2017 86 out of 192 = 43.54 %
Oct 2017 88 out of 198. = 44.4%.
Nov 2017 92 out of 201 = 45.7%

me too Sue... I wish they did not limit it so...

Yes!
If you could completely erase a book from the group shelf from memory, to read it again - would you do it? And which one?
For me:
Jane Eyre
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes
Dune
I would like to re-read The Name of the Rose but it almost already erase itself (it's been 30+ years).

I'd be happy if I could eventually reach 50%--something to shoot for!

AND I'm old, so after awhile they start to add up ;)
I've still got a lot on my TBR list though, so I'm still reading!
Great numbers for both of you, Kathleen and Terri. I have fallen further behind this year. I need to concentrate of some of those I have missed.

That's great Kathleen. Your total did seem low before for how much you read. This makes more sense.

Amazing total Terris! Congrats!

June 2016 14/148 - 9%
Dec 2016 44/168 - 26%
June 2017 64/183 - 35%
Nov 2017 79/201 - 39%
edited to correct Nov. It said 2016 before

Would it be possible to have listopia lists for each 100 books? Then we'd have list of 1st 100 books, 2nd 100 books, 3rd 100 books etc. The 1st and 2nd 100 would have to be split randomly but going forward would be easier.
It would be nice to be able to vote and then rank all the books you've read. That way we could see both what books have been read the most and how favorably they were rated. Ranking 100 is easier than ranking 200. I know it's especially hard for me because with my 79, I've only not liked maybe 5-10 at most.
But if it's complicated for the moderators, then it's not worth it of course. Just throwing it out there.
