What books have you checked out or bought lately

Thanks, Aerykah! :) It sounds really fun!"
My sisters been trying to get me to read this book. I know your not supposed to judge a book by its cover, but I'm having a hard time not with this one. Just doesn't look like a good book to me...

One of my all-time faves is like that, at least to me:

I think it looks so cheesy & the book is so not cheesy! :)
On Sushi for One, the lady just looks a bit awkward...I'm not sure who stands with their hand on their neck like that, haha.

Me neither! I am such a fan of hers (as you can see from my other post, haha). Her books are the ones that I will pre-order no matter what :) The other two were sort of impulse buys, although I do really like Tessa Afshar's books.

I think I've only read two books by Frantz so far, but I really liked both of them! My top fav authors right now are Deeanne Gist, Lisa Tawn Bergren, Karen Witemeyer, and Julie Lessman. Read any of them?

I think I've tried getting it from the library before but they didn't have it.:(

Gist, I've read most of hers. Bergren I read & loved the River of Time series & Glamorous Illusions. Witemeyer, I've read Short-Straw Bride & A Tailor-Made Bride. I liked Short-Straw Bride the best. I've only read A Passion Most Pure, which I enjoyed but also had "beef" with, haha. I have the second one but haven't
gotten to it yet.
I really like Siri Mitchell's books, as well as Liz Curtis Higgs historicals.

I havn't read either of those authors yet, but some of Siri's books are in my to-read folder.

LOVED IT!

To Win Her Heart is Karen Witemeyer's best book in my opinion! READ IT!

A 2002 Collectors edition of Birds and Blooms magazine (for youngest daughter)
Moreta: Dragonlady of Pern, Bundori, Anna of Byzantium, Learning to Sing: Hearing the Music in Your Life, The Almost Moon, August, Angel's Fall and a 1975 Better Homes and Gardens Decorating Book (hardback 3-ring binder book in excellent condition!!)

Read:

(I bought the old cover books though).
