Aerykah | 2071 comments Soph wrote: "Please let me know what you think of the Tutor's daughter! Deciding which Klassen to start with!!"

I've enjoyed all of the books I've read by Julie Klassen -- The Apothecary's Daughter by Julie Klassen The Silent Governess by Julie Klassen Lady of Milkweed Manor by Julie Klassen The Girl in the Gatehouse by Julie Klassen
It's hard to choose a favorite.

The Apothecary's Daughter by Julie Klassen was definitely my least favorite...
I can't really choose between Lady of Milkweed Manor by Julie Klassen & The Silent Governess by Julie Klassen as my favorite, though. They were both really good! :)

message 59: by Beth (new)

Beth (bbulow) Aerykah, The Apothecary's Daughter was my least favorite too. It just didn't quite compare to her others.

Looks like you need to read The Maid of Fairbourne Hall :)

message 60: by Aerykah (new)

Aerykah | 2071 comments The Maid of Fairbourne Hall is on my to-read list! If it's as good as the others, I'm sure I'll love it! :)

Michelle Kobus (michellekobus) In the past 3 or 4 days, I bought The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Les Miserables, Nicholas Nickelby, White Oleander, The Hours, and the Inkheart trilogy, plus a few more that escape me at the moment...I own so many books I have trouble remembering what I have unless I see the book name right in front of me LOL (I own less than 200 books from my TBR list, and have read about as many in the past 2 years; don't know how difficult it must be for people who own more! hehe)

Carol (goodreadscomcarolann) | 214 comments Soph wrote: "Which Mansfield Park DVD!?"

1999 version with Frances O'Connor & James Purefoy.
I should have asked before I purchased it. Which version do you like?

I thought it was strange that when I was putting together the amazon order that I type up "Mansfield" Park (the film) and on the next line, type up a book entitled "Mansfield" (biography of Katherine Mansfield).

** Lately, I am reading a lot of work by Virginia Woolf.

How much snow? We are covered but it looks so nice on the tree limbs.
I love reading in winter. It is the best time to read -- just curl up in a big comfy chair with a blanket and a hot cup of tea (I can't do coffee anymore).
