Rick Riordan

"I am not! I followed her to the Big House and hid in a bush and watched the whole thing.”

Andrei Tarkovsky
“Let everything that's been planned come true. Let them believe. And let them have a laugh at their passions. Because what they call passion actually is not some emotional energy, but just the friction between their souls and the outside world. And most important, let them believe in themselves. Let them be helpless like children, because weakness is a great thing, and strength is nothing. When a man is just born, he is weak and flexible. When he dies, he is hard and insensitive. When a tree is growing, it's tender and pliant. But when it's dry and hard, it dies. Hardness and strength are death's companions. Pliancy and weakness are expressions of the freshness of being. Because what has hardened will never win.”
Andrei Tarkovsky

Cynthia Hand
“I sneaked out to his house a couple times in the middle of the night to watch over him while he slept, just in case, I don't know, his comic book collection decided to spontaneously combust. This was dumb and admittedly creepy in an Edward Cullen kind of way.”
Cynthia Hand, Hallowed

Give up the Ghost”

Lindsey Leavitt
“I would be lying if I said I didn't get a kick out of the assignment. Here I am, a "troubled youth," and my self-chosen treatment is to become a stalker. Okay, not stalker. Research Analyst.”
Lindsey Leavitt, Sean Griswold's Head

Rachel Caine
“What are you going to do? Are you going to live in the dark, locked in here? Afraid to look out, answer the door, leave? Yes, he's out there, and he's clearly not going to leave you alone until one of three things happens: he hurts you and gets arrested, or he makes a mistake and gets arrested, or you stop him.”
Rachel Caine, Fall of Night

Barry Lyga
“Are you stalking me, Mr. Fulton?" The idea both amused and horrified Jazz.”
Barry Lyga, I Hunt Killers

Rosamund Lupton
“I don't believe outstandingly beautiful and charismatic women create obsession in what would otherwise be normal men, but rather they attract the weirdos and the stalkers; flames in the darkness that these disturbing people inhabit, unwittingly drawing them closer until they extinguish the very flame they were drawn to.”
Rosamund Lupton, Sister

Brandi Salazar
“He had to get inside. It was essential that he know everything, the routes she took, her schedule, and the lay of the land.
The silver moon glowed overhead, mocking him. Somewhere in the trees an owl hooted its laughter at his failure.

Randy--from Spring Cleaning--Coming Summer 2012”
Brandi Salazar, Spring Cleaning

Robin DeJarnett
“Mom was silent for a moment. “I’m sorry, Melissa, but can you blame me for worrying? In less than an hour I found out you’re being stalked by a killer, sleeping with a stranger, and hiding with him in an empty apartment. You have to admit that sounds…unsettling.”
Robin DeJarnett, Whirlwind

Brandi Salazar
“Terri had already gotten her panties into a bunch just from one little phone call, so he knew coming at her too much too fast would be more trouble than it was worth. He couldn’t exactly beat her into submission, not right away anyway. Although he did enjoy seeing her get all riled up.
Nothing tugged at a man’s heartstrings like a pair of mascara smeared eyes.

Randy from Spring Cleaning-- Coming Summer 2012”
Brandi Salazar, Spring Cleaning

Arti Manani

“Chloe took hold of Mia’s arms and she spoke in a tone reserved for people who were slow. “Ryan…is stalking you and I don’t mean cute guy type of stalk but creepy could be a dangerous type of stalk.”

Krystalle Bianca
“I was like a hare being stalked by a hungry wolf. He didn’t go straight for the kill. That would have been too easy. Instead he waited it out, stalking his prey in the shadows. He would bare those large, sharp teeth and the prey would be oblivious to the threat right in front of them. Once the rabbit could finally see the wolf for what it really was, it was too late. The wolf already had his jaw locked against the rabbit’s throat. It couldn’t go nowhere. It was completely helpless to the wolfs punishing grip. No matter how much the rabbit fought or how much the rabbit struggled, it couldn’t escape.
I’ve found my very own wolf and I can do nothing but stare into his hungry eyes.”
Krystalle Bianca, Perfectly Fractured (The Imperfect, #1).

Jessa Kane

That’s her name.

Jolie Dubois.

I don’t bother writing it down, because it’s already engraved on my brain.

There are claws in my chest, rearranging organs and making me new. Making me into whatever she needs me to be. I will worship her. I will find this sweet girl and protect her from any harm. She is mine to guard, to keep, to marry. To fuck.

I’ve never had much interest in females. They are merely objects that need to be avoided so I can kill the men I am contracted to execute. They are occasional, faceless tools of comfort. This one is my angel. She was sent for me. My singing blood is telling me so.”
Jessa Kane, My Husband, My Stalker

Jessa Kane
“I found my angel and made her mine.

No, I have to keep her. Safe. Happy. Untouched by anyone but me.

Jessa Kane, My Husband, My Stalker

Nitya Prakash
“If I'm rich I'm a SECRET ADMIRER, But Since I'm poor...They call me a STALKER.”
Nitya Prakash

Greg Cox
“He was probably just being paranoid, but why take chances? He quickened his pace, hoping to put a little more distance between himself and his (inadvertent?) tail. A taxi was sounding better and better, but now that he actually wanted one, he looked in vain for an unoccupied cab. Darkened storefronts, guarded by iron bars and pull-down metal shutters, offered little in the way of shelter should he need to get off the street in a hurry. He searched his own pockets for something to defend himself with, just in case, but found only his favorite Sharpie.

Great, he thought sarcastically. Whoever said the pen was mightier than the sword had obviously never been stalked down a lonely city street by a guy who looked like he could go nine rounds with Bigfoot. Next time I arrange for an escort home.
Greg Cox, The Bestseller Job

“It's what you don't see that can take you out.”
B. Davis Kroon

Miss Rainbow Moonfire
“Stalked your FB and followed you on IG
Liked your posts, commented tirelessly
Boy, I can go on with this endlessly
I like you too much. I know it's creepy.”
Miss Rainbow Moonfire

“The more dangerous psycho than a joker is a stalker”
P.S. Jagadeesh Kumar

Jessa Kane
“Leaving already?” he asks, in a husky baritone that makes me shiver hotly.

I haven’t spoken to anyone in person in a month. Before that, it was mostly lawyers, cops and doctors. So my voice sounds unnatural to my ears when I respond. “Yes. I can’t find the lady who invited me. I don’t see her.” For some reason, maybe because his eyes are so patient, I blurt, “There are a lot of strangers here.”

He considers the packed block, nodding, as if that was a completely normal thing to say. “I see your point.” He lifts his beer. “That’s what the alcohol is for.”

A laugh sneaks out of me. “Actually…I don’t drink anymore.”

A beat passes and I assume I’ve disappointed him. Then he turns the bottle so I can see the label. “Non-alcoholic,” he says, kind of sheepishly. “I didn’t want you to think I was…”

His eyes are the most intense shade of blue and it deepens now. “Isn’t everyone, though?”

It’s the strangest thing. Those three words feel like they’re being whispered to me across a pillow. We’re standing in a sea of people and yet…this encounter is so intimate. Like no one else exists. The other voices are just buzzes of sound. His eyes are a lifeboat in a huge, turbulent ocean and I can’t seem to look away. “Yes. Some more than others.”
Jessa Kane

“¿Cómo puedo saber el nombre de lo que quiero?
¿Cómo puedo saber si en verdad no quiero lo que yo quiero?
¿O si realmente no quiero, lo que no quiero?
Son cosas imperceptibles: basta nombrarlas y su sentido desaparece.
Se desvanece y se disuelve como una medusa al sol.
