The Very Quiet Cricket
by
"This book is zen like."A luna moth sailed quietly through the night. And the cricket enjoyed the stillness". Instills a sense of quiet and peace I think. When you open the very last page you hear the perfect cricket chirp, a sound of summer nights, lovely."

Papa, Please Get the Moon for Me
by
"I've read this a million times to a two year old. She calls it the moon book. A little girl looks out of her window at the moon and says (wistfully) "I wish I could play with the moon" and reached for it, she said,"papa please get the moon for me" So papa gets a long ladder....
I think all kids feel connected and curious about the moon, this is a sweet book that imagines what would happen if you could bring the moon down to play and the notion of a father giving his daughter the moon is just adorable." |

Poems for Little Ones
by
""Snow is a mind falling, a continuous breath of climbs, loops, spirals dips into the eart like white fireflies".....
Then a question. How does snow feel or something like that. Then a Yeats poem about a cat, then a question about purring. This book combines great poems with the sensation and color that it evokes. LOVE! this book. Great from a birth to 4." |

On the Night You Were Born
by
"This book is essential for every child. It eloquently expresses to the listener that they are the "one and only you". Telling them the bears were up all night dancing on the night you were born in celebration so when you go to the zoo and they are sleeping you know why, and several such examples of things they would see in every day life that are the results of the excitement that was felt at their arrival into the world. So sweet. I cry when I read it, it's so special.

The Berenstain Bears Learn About Strangers
by
"I like this book because it educates young children about being cautious with strangers though most people are good. They learn to follow certain rules that will keep them safe without scaring them unnecessarily.
