801397 Moon Called by Patricia Briggs has won February's group read! This is the thread to discuss Moon Called in February.

Please use spoiler tags and chapter/page numbers when talking about the book.

It's fine, the threads stay open so take your time :)
801397 It does sound good. Looking forward to reading it as well :)

801397 It's no problem :) Take your time. I remember I was crying through quite a bit of it.
801397 I watched The Muppet Christmas Carol. Still enjoyable. I was surprised to learn it came out in 1992, I was 3. For some reason I thought The Muppet Christmas Carol was older than me but i'm older than it lol.

You can nominate it if you want.

i bought the audio book sometime during an audible sale but i haven't listened to it yet."

I haven't bought it yet but it's been on my radar, I just keep forgetting about it.
801397 Ohh I have got to +1 The Luminous Dead!
801397 I second Moon Called
801397 I nominate Unearthed by Gina Ranalli and
The Haunting of Blackwych Grange by Amy Cross
801397 February's theme is, well any kind of creature as long as it's by a woman or non-binary author!

So nominate some books!

Nominations being seconded etc. are more likely to make it to the poll if there are a lot of nominations.

After this thread has been up for a bit and has some nominations a poll will be held with them to decide February's group read!
801397 Well I finished it and have no idea what to rate it, but I did enjoy it for the most part.

https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
801397 I've now read 25 chapters (view spoiler)
801397 I'm 72% of the way in, have read 22 chapters (view spoiler)

I am enjoying it for the most part and it's definitely giving me emotions. Though sometimes I end up relating to Mattie and sometimes I know of people like Mattie and why they are that way. I want to hug her.
801397 I keep crying. I am a book cryer. I am not ashamed.

Chapter 9 (view spoiler)

Apart from that I'm enjoying it. I feel for Mattie, for reasons I won't say. She's been through so much awful crap, no one, especially a kid, should ever have to go through.
801397 I just read chapter 5 and O_O (view spoiler)

Lol, glad you're liking it so far. I'll hopefully read more tonight but i'm enjoying it so far too.
801397 4 chapters in and thinking I spoke too soon. It's definitely got some creepiness to it too.
801397 2 chapters in and it looks like it's more of a mystery then anything, but it does have ghosts. I'm interested so far and can see it's going to tug at my heartstrings, though that is easy to do.

Lol Jen, glad you have it ^_^
