I did really like this one. I gave it 4 stars. I think if I actually liked baseball I'd have enjoyed it more and given it a 5. I thought the writing was excellent and it was a unique story. I had no idea with this one what it was about or where it would go, but I thought it was an excellent book.

I finished the 2nd book in the Land of Stories series tonight. I'm totally impressed. These books have the potential to rank up there with Harry Potter IMO. I'm excited for the next one to be released in July!

I thought
A Prayer for Owen Meany was a Bee Book? I searched and couldn't find it. I finally finished it - that's been one of those books I can't believe I haven't read. I did like it, but it's not my favorite Irving -
A Widow for One YearI just finished
Maine - I thought it was really good. I like the multiple points of view that Sullivan writes. I saw the book described as "Chick lit for smart people" which I think is a fairly apt description. I'll have to read
The Engagements soon.

I think there is also the fact that she wrote this with about 15 years worth of perspective.

She talked about writing that scene - the pain and guilt. It still seems to haunt her. Tiny beautiful things is one of my all time faves.

This was a great day to check out the deals. I got 6!

I agree Petra - there is a shift. And I read this after I read Tiny Beautiful Things and loved her for that, so....yeah. It was easier to forgive her.

I'm still here, still without reliable internet. Rumor has it that we WILL be getting connected soon...but I'm not counting on it.
I'm in the car riding home from my sister's place. We celebrated our last holiday there. She and her family will be moving to a home around 1 mile from mine next month, and her baby GIRL will be making her arrival sometime in August. I'm thrilled at the idea of having her family so close. After a weekend with my nephew I know I'm so blessed to have my loved ones moving closer.
I've been reading a lot lately, nothing crazy awesome, but plenty of entertainment anyway.

Tasha - I'll be starting The Angel's game soon. I think it was a Bee book - at least I have it marked as such on my 12 in 2014 list.
I finished Commencement today, and I really liked it. I picked up a few books at B&N this afternoon, so that is always fun. :)

I keep looking...I thought I'd have some on my amazon account, but not so far.

At least we have a diagnosis!

I've been very sucked into The other Boleyn girl. I can read for hours. Anyone know if the rest of the series is that fascinating?

I had no idea how many Bee books I have already, I've added them to my list. I'm trying really hard to stick to my own shelves more. Why is that so hard?!?

I loved this book. I find that I really enjoy stories about a group of best friends...I had that crew of amazing people in college who I love and adore to this day. None of is are insanely successful like Ethan is in this story, but I really found it so relatable. Ethan reminds me of my son on so many levels. The crazy artistic talents. The (unmentioned but I felt obvious) adhd. I liked the friendship. I thought the marital relationships good. I found the whole story Interesting. :)

I sincerely tried to convince Adonica she was allowed to quit this one, but she pushed they. I will not be picking it up, so I decided to read the postings and laughed at Danielle's "die already!" Comment!

I was online tonight and lamenting I hadn't bought more at Christmas when there were so many great ones.
My husband has been talking about the kindle fire...does anyone have the new one? Or have comparisons between the older model and the paper white? Oh the problems of a book and tech nerd.

A Fortunate Age! There, it was driving me crazy.

I started this one yesterday and really am enjoying it so far. I'm going to have to look through my read lists...it's reminding me of a book whose title I can't remember.
