7638 I took some mythology in college, but my favorite mythology based reading has been Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson series...(hanging my head in shame)

7638 I’m excited about my library update - Lisa, I also have a wall with large bookcases and a window seat with additional shelves Planned. And my husband said he likes the bookcase in our bedroom, so at least I can continue to store my unread books there.

I am horrible at book planning, because then my TBR feels like a job. My mind is contrary that way too.

7638 My daughter loves jigsaw puzzles - but every time she finishes one she glued it with mod podge and frames it...we are running out of wall space. :)

7638 We are plotting the shelves for my library - currently I’m thinking this steampunk look...

I’ve also asked our builder for a quote for building shelving and a window seat. We will see.

7638 I took my daughter to the fireworks store and we got some lanterns and other stuff to shoot off tonight. Mike grilled burgers, but we are pretty low key, as mike and I still work early tomorrow morning.

7638 This is another one I have from BOTM, but I haven’t started it yet. I love seeing these in our summer list.

7638 I LOVED this book! I bought A Gentleman in Moscow because I was so impressed with The Rules of Civility, but I didn’t like it nearly as well.

7638 I read this shortly after it was published. I really liked it.

7638 Hello Bees! Happy Canada Day to our Canadian Bees, and Happy 4th to our American Bees!

The fireworks have been screaming in my neighborhood for close to a week - it’s the perk (and pain!) of a rural development.

What do you do for your summer holiday? Sit at a beach? Light fireworks? Family picnic? I’d love to hear from you!
7638 It's fun to do these after the quarter is over and see what works! I got close.

7638 I still have many friends that I’ve known since childhood, but I’m also in a 40 mile radius of where I grew up. I think in a rural area that makes the old friends easier to keep as well.

7638 I’d also love to see information on entering the publishing world. My 15 year old son has been writing enthusiastically for a few years. His ideas are fantastic...prose needs work. I was talking about that with my husband just today. If I try editing and working with him, even a chapter at a time, I think he could have something. BUT...I struggle to be a good editor for him, because the immaturity of the writing drives me nuts. Loving reading doesn’t give me much patience.

7638 The dog barfing a pincushion sounds like real life! I imagine a career as an author while also Mom-ing would be such a frustrating struggle. I’m a 40+ hours/week bureaucrat, and the days I have off always mysteriously fill with appointments...OR, if I luck out and have some free time and am reading or writing...NO ONE gets that I’m busy.
