Hello Bees!
I have been emailing with a couple of authors who would like to chat with the Bees! I'm hoping that you're interested too, and that if you enjoy it, we could try something where we select a book by the author and then set up a thread to chat with her or him after folks have had the chance to read their book. Here are the first two...
Abbi Waxman recently had her book
selected for the Book of the Month club. She also has written
.
Tracy Banghart has published several books, and her latest
is being featured at Net Galley right now!
Thoughts?

I am sold on your description of UNSUB!

I’m reading The Lost for Words Bookshop, which is a Net Galley. I’m nearly done, and I like it a lot!

I am a totally crazy reader, and get HUGE excitement when I am given the opportunity to interact with authors. There is a Writers Conference at my Alma matter, and so I started with the excitement of meeting and interacting with authors when I was 19.
Today, I still hit the Writers Conference when I can, and I use my resources to interact with authors. I have a couple authors who have e pressed interest in hanging with the Bees...talking about their work and stuff. So... you guys interested?!?

This evening I have a glass of merlot next to me and am reading a Net Galley that I'm really enjoying -
I have some Book of the Month selections I haven't finished yet either. I love and loathe how my TBR grows out of control.

I'm a total sucker for the blank card sets in Hobby Lobby or Michaels. I always have a coupon for 40% off or 50% off a single purchase, and I have lots of fun cards I can write in.
There is a subscription box called Scribe that I'm SO tempted to join. I know I don't NEED more pens and paper, but it makes me awfully happy.

I don’t have Libby - but the library doesn’t have them in print or eBook format. Amazon will score a few more dollars from me.

B&N didn’t have either book!!!

My friend is at B&N on a search for me today! Hopefully I will have either
or
in my hands tonight.

I can't get any of these from my local library, but I may just buy Such Small Hands so I can read along. It sounds so good! I'm not in a place where I can read the horrors of WWII right now. I need a little less real.

YAY!!!! I am so happy to see you here, Kathy!!!

June is fair. It usually takes a few weeks for the books to arrive.

Sweet!

Me too. I love this idea.

I read How to Walk Away as a Net Galley and thought it was very good. I even posted a review on it. 😊

Prince of Tides was my first Conroy, but then when I tried to reread it after I fell in love with Beach Music and South of Broad, I didn't like it nearly as much.

Hailee - I love epic fantasies! What are you reading?

I was only able to read a little - but I love the idea of a reading holiday, I will have to plan better for this in October. :)
I'm nearly finished with
Bring Me Back

Love it! Stephen King...thrillers...WW2...so many options!

I'm excited to participate! I used to do a day like this whenever a new Harry Potter came out...Books 5, 6 and 7 I would stand in line, get it at midnight and make sure I had childcare the next day and READ until I finished! LOVED it!!!!
Tomorrow part of my day will be driving to see our fellow Bee Adonica - I will carry books with me, and listen to audio books in the car. :)
