7638 I've been trying to read this for over a month...I just haven't gotten pulled in and other books end up much more interesting. I will have to keep plugging away until it tips forward for me.

7638 Thank you Santa!!! I got an awesome Arizona bag that pairs well with my Deep Freeze novel (I’m over half done, and it’s about -25F here, so very apt!) and Carry On is one of my all time faves. I also got a gorgeous photo book of Arizona. I’ve been down there several times as we have family who live in the Phoenix area. I love it! Thank you!!!!

7638 OK - everyone should have a message with the critical information required!

Please remember if you want your gifts on an eReader to include that information in your wish list. Happy shopping!

7638 Hello my old friends -

I'm sorry I've been gone a lot this year. At the end of April my Dad was put on Hospice services and passed away on August 1. I spent much of my summer going back and forth to my parents and doing as much as I could to help care for my dad. 2017 has been a very difficult year for us personally, and the rest of the world seems to be struggling as well.

I'm working towards a new normal, as I recognize that very little is ever going to be the same.

Life keeps flying by - my kids are growing up so quickly. Gabe will have his drivers license at the end of this school year! We are talking about goals and colleges as he's a freshman now and his classes and grades will have an effect on his future. It's crazy that we are having these conversations already.

I hope for a happy and blessed fall for each of you.

7638 I will keep the sign up open until Nov 1, then assign asap. I'm a little late this year, but am excited to be part of some joy at the end of this year!

7638 Hello my beloved bees!

It's that time again...to give and to receive a bookish gift from a Busy Bee.

Please sign up in this thread, then send me a PM with your full name and mailing address.

This year has been a lot. In our posts this year that list all the books we'd love to see prettily wrapped and in our mailboxes, will you please also suggest a book you think we should all read and why?

Basic rules - you will respond in this thread and PM me. You will create your list for Santa Bee. The more books on that list, the better to thrill you, my dear!

You will get the name and address of your Bee. You will review their post to decide how best to play Santa.

You will play nice. You will send fun things and not throw paper towels. You may be assigned an international Bee.

Questions, comments and smart remarks can be sent to me. Let's play!!!

7638 I'm reading Mr Splitfoot and a Netgalley called The Devils Prayer. The galley has me then loses me...not sure how much fun I will have in that review. So far I'm really enjoying Mr. Splitfoot.

7638 @Petra - I am glad someone else didn't love The Underground Railroad. It wasn't for me either.
