42178 Welcome Back Bookshelf & Series R Us
My Year 2023 in Books

I have a few goals this year:

1. Read a minimum of 48 titles. (My average from 2011 through 2022 was 42)

2. Read many of the books on my personal, physical bookshelf. Goal: 25% (16 of 35)

3. Complete or Catch Up on a few previously started series. (10 of 10)

4. Continue with the Amazon Original Stories Collections. (0)

42178 I tried it as well. I don't see the options they're showing in the response.

I am on the new re-designed page. Is there a way to get to the page with the old way?"

Oh, I don't know. I've never seen the redesigned page.

Sorry.

42178 If you use a web browser (instead of the app), you can go to the book page itself.

There is a section labeled "Progress" under "My Activity." You can update it there.

42178 It's nice to see you, HiMS!!

Parenting is quite time-consuming.

The area looks lovely!

42178 Oof. I'm slowing down reading-wise. I feel like I'm on the verge of burnout. So I'm going to allow myself to relax.

There are two books I do want to finish this month, though: Reaper (Cradle, #10), which I am reading right now, and The Day Guard (The Metaframe War, #4) which I will read next.

On the bright side - this is my 300th reading day in a row!!! And I am very proud of myself! :)

42178 1. Congratulations! :)

2. I would love to read your reviews! *You can do it!!* LOL

3. Enjoy the spook-fest. :) I think I'm only reading one horror novel this month.

4. Your reading journal sounds incredible. I'm not that disciplined. I don't know what I would do regarding tracking my reads if it were not for GR.

5. I've been thinking of resetting my Paperwhite, but then I get anxious and change my mind. I'm hoping a new version will come out in the next year - I'll then send my other two in and use the credit towards the newer one.

How do you like your Oasis? It looks "big" to me. Is it comfortable?

42178 Enjoy!!

No scary movies or shows for me, thank you very much!
I have started reading a little more horror, though.

TV wise, I seem to be on an unintended break. Nothings really keeping my interest.

Oh wait, that’s a lie - I’ve binged watched Abbott Elementary.
As a former substitute teacher, I find that show ridiculous and accurate in so many ways. *LOL*

I was going to start season 5 of Bosh but it feels darker than usual and I wasn’t vibing with the mood. I’ll probably pick it back up in a few weeks.

I need something light but engrossing. Is that even a thing?
I might go back to All Creatures Great and Small on Brit-box. It’s the original one from the 70s. I don’t have access to the remake.

42178 Thanks! :)

I hope you’re able to get your comics/graphic novels in.

I seem to go through phases with them - it’s very mood driven. And finding a good series has been hit or miss.

42178 I have completed 125 titles so far this year!

I have decided to track how many are novels vs. shorter works. Sequential art is counted separately as well. Here is the breakdown.
