42178 Thank you @Spacechick!

Pairing audio with the printed, when I can, has helped a great deal. I would not have been able to complete as many reads without it.

42178 Cool.

I’ve been looking for something to supplement my income - remote/work from home where I can set my own hours (primarily nights & weekends).

42178 Congratulations on the new job!

Do you mind if I ask what it is?

Happy Birthday month to you too! :)

42178 It's now July (my birthday month - yay)!

June was an excellent reading month for me - 27 titles totaling almost 7,700 pages.

I am on week 80 of my reading streak with a daily streak of 93.

This week I'm starting Celebrity in Death (In Death, Book #34), Academ's Fury (Codex Alera, Book #2), and Blood of Amber (The Chronicles of Amber, Book #7); I'm finishing Paramour (Fantasy Heights, Story #10).
I have audio companions for all of them (except Paramour). I think I'm officially addicted to audiobooks, but I still have to have a written version. I have, however, gone for more extended periods of just listening. I think I'm at 30-45 minutes max.

Twenty-six weeks are remaining in the year, and 24 books remain in the In Death Series (Book #58 is slated for next year), so there is a chance of actually getting caught up. I find that exciting. I have never tackled as significant a series before.

Blood of Amber is the shortest title on that list, so my goal today is to listen to as much as possible while getting my laundry done.

Ditto!! :)

42178 I'm not familiar with it.

Please keep us updated with your thoughts on it. Thanks.

42178 The mods are what got me in trouble w/ Sims 3. I spent more time tweaking my game than playing it.

I'll give it some thought. My iMac is past "end of life" (it stopped getting updates a while ago), so I may wait until I can replace it.

42178 Wow! Sims 4 sounds really cool!! But I must resist; I can not financially afford another obsession! LOL

42178 I’m interested in reading Koontz. I enjoyed his short story series Nameless, released in two parts through the Amazon Original Stories Collections.

LOL @ The Sims! In Sims 3, I would get bored after the kids grew up because my Sims were homebodies like me. So all they did was go to work and come home.

42178 I get that! :D

Congratulations on your reading stats, btw.

I'm at 11 weeks / 65 days. I really want to check out the In Death series but... do I really need another series? But since when has reading been about what I need. LOL"

LOL. If it helps, I've had success borrowing the books from the library.

42178 Has it been a month already? Geesh!

I have now been reading for 75 weeks in a row. My daily count is at 59 consecutively.

I have read 12 books so far this month, 9 of which are part of the In Death series. I'll get a 10th one in by Tuesday if I'm lucky. I might be slightly addicted! :D

I am currently reading The Book Thief and listening to Trumps of Doom (The Great Book of Amber, Book #6). Both stories are interesting and odd. I hope to finish one today.*

Tomorrow, I want to start both Furies of Calderon (Codex Alera, Book #1) and Creation in Death (In Death, Book #25).

The Alera books will take some time to complete (I'm guessing ten days per book, minimum). I am reading one a month as part of a buddy read. The official start date is the 1st of June, but I'm excited to begin.

The In Death books are also part of a buddy read. The goal is one a week, but we all read at our own pace. I had caught up with the group for a while but took a step back for two or three weeks to read other things. This was week #28, so I'm not far behind. Either way, I've been having a great time. Even when I get annoyed at the main female protagonist, I love the ride - there is a great cast of characters.

Edit:* The Book Thierf is much longer than Amazon indicated. The Amazon page for the Kindle edition states it's only 177 pages long, but the printed editions all state 550+ pages. Only the slightest of differences!

I have approximately an hour left of Trumps of Doom, so I aim to finish that before bedtime.

Edit #2: Just finished Trumps of Doom; it was good.

42178 Podcast - Sweet! Looking forward to it.

Sims - Sim 2 = Alien babies!LOL, I remember downloading a mod that made it happen anytime a male sim was taken. I liked the look of 3 and being able to play the "original" families from 1 & 2.
I was afraid I'd spend more dollars than sense on 4, so I opted not to continue, especially since I heard grumblings about content early on.
It's very easy to get spoiled with the Sims.
I do hope you enjoy it! :)

42178 Podcast - Nice! Let us know when you're going to release it and where.

Sims - I stopped after 3; I spent more time downloading content than actually playing. How is 4?

Drunk reading - That must be interesting! LOL

Glad things are good. :)

Nice!! On all counts.

Strong, lady! :)

I can not believe it has been a month since my last update!
I have now been reading for 72 weeks in a row, and I am at 32 days straight in an effort to earn the Kindle challenge bookmarks.

I got a few titles under my belt this month (not sure how many, though).

I am officially behind in all of my buddy/group reads except for The Great Book of Amber, which I caught up on today by finishing The Hand of Oberon.

I finally finished Atlas of the Heart: Mapping Meaningful Connection and the Language of Human Experience; it is a fascinating book; however, don't try to read it as a novel. I'd suggest treating it more like a textbook on emotions.

I hope to finish Big Jack next. It is a side novel of the In Death Series. I am about halfway through.

After that comes The Maid as my hold came through from the library, and I will also continue reading Educated (I want to be shocked, but I find myself shaking my head).
