GoodReads is my book journal. However, you both have me intrigued. One of the things I've come to realize is that in my attempt not to add spoilers to my reviews, I am often vague to the point of having no idea what the book was about when I see the review again years later. I want to change that.
A journal will allow me to type out how I truly feel about my reading experiences.
I just watched a video for a free book journal, but it feels hella crowded and complicated. I would love one that would allow me to copy/paste or drag and drop a picture of the cover into it (without having to save the image first).
I'm probably going to obsess about this for a while now! LOL
Question: Is there a way to wipe the Kindle without deactivating it?My kids surprised me with a Kindle Signature for Christmas, so I want to give my other one to my dad, He's not the most electronically savvy person, so I want to keep it active on my account and add books as needed.
What would you all advise?
You know, I never thought of it that way, but I can see the appeal. It would definitely make it easier to focus on your selected titles.
Happy reading, either way! :)
Today I completed my 150th title of the year! Before this year, there was no way I would have believed that number!
Christa wrote: "You know, I've never read any of the In Death series and I kind of want to. I might have to add yet another series to my unending pile. LOL"They are a bit intense and rough at the beginning (books 1 & 2 in particular), but the characters draw you in enough to want to see what happens next.
There is a touch of insta-love and a particularly uncomfortable sex scene in the first one, but other than that, they're like popcorn. Once you start, you have to get more. Thankfully, I've found the first four through my library system.
A week in, I'm still in denial that it is December already!! This year went by ridiculously fast!! Reading-wise, I've got three titles going at the moment:
Caliban's War, Book #2 of the Expanse series - gripping and suspenseful so far.
Rapture in Death, Book # 4 of the In Death series - for a futuristic series, the attitudes are so 1990s (when it started)! But the stories are intriguing, and it is still a lot of fun figuring out who committed the crimes. There are 56 books in this series to date - FIFTY-SIX!!
Tehanu, Book #4 of the Earthsea Cycle series - I've only read a bit. Not sure what I think of it yet. Not sure how I feel about the series as a whole; it's unusual.
I'm not sure which series I will continue next (and yes, I create a poll ). The vote is tied right now! LOL yeah, I peaked at the results. I hope to finish both this month, but it's going to be tight. They are both also the second to last book of the series, with the final books coming out in 2023.
On an oddly positive note, this is the first year in a while that I was not ready for it to just end already. I'm okay with 2022. It hasn't been all rainbows and sunshine by any stretch of the imagination, but it's been an improvement over the last 3 or 4 years, at the very least.
*knock on wood*
