I have also read the same number of titles in 5 months (85) as in the last four years combined (86)!!

In the meantime, I have started the cozy Chocolate Centered Mystery series.
The first one, The Sweet Smell of Murder, was okay. I haven't read many cozy mysteries; however, this one seems to have potential. This first tale was very short (114pgs), including the recipe for the highlighted confectionary - Triple Chocolate Muffin. I laid out my thoughts in my review.
I'm also supposed to be reading Ghostwater as part of a buddy read, but I'm not vibing w/ it at the moment. I'll give it a day or two and then see if I can jump back in. If not, I'll probably start my other buddy read, Sweep of the Blade, early (the official start date is the 20th).
As for tonight, I think I'll start the next CCM, A Deadly Delicious Delivery.

It's awesome that you got to spend extra time w/ your mom.
Oh, and congratulations on completing one of your series goals!

Listening to the short stories every morning helps ensure I get credit for the day.
There does seem to be a delay with the updating, however.
I have four achievements left to earn: The "Gold Reader" (75 days) and the three remaining "Mystery" achievements. The next one is scheduled to be revealed in a week, on May 20th.
Hint: A great way to stay up-to-date on new releases, deal alerts, and more.
Heh, are they pitching an ad for us to sign up for something?
I was initially going to read Project Hail Mary as my "Chart Topper." I bought it on sale back in March ($4 as opposed to the $14 it is now), but I was looking at Amazon's list, and I saw that Under the Whispering Door (which I was already reading) was there too. So that made me happy! :)

2. This is my 140th reading day in a row!
3. Completing UtWD earned both the "Great Escape" and "Chart Topper" achievements as part of the Kindle's Spring Challenge.
The May 6th hint: "Take me away...there's nothing like escaping with a great read" referred to the Fantasy genre, NOT travel as I had initially thought.

I think "Enjoy (ed) / (ing)" and "Intense" seem to be my go-to words this year!
I've also read a few "interesting", "cautionary tales"; and have had more than a few "mixed emotions/feelings."

Thank you both!
And now, after listening to Identity Thief, I've now completed the most tiles ever in a single year since joining Goodreads - LOL!

Aww - for the broken streak; LOL - for the party!
Glad you had a good time! :D

Up next, are four memoirs that should help me unlock the "Scholar" achievement for Kindle's Spring Challenge.
The "Voyager" achievement had to be completed on World Book Day (4/23/22), and my reading of Boca Raton helped me to get that one.
The next "Mystery" will be revealed on May 6th. The hint is:
"Take me away...there's nothing like escaping with a great read".
If it's nonfiction travel, I might not get that one.

That's the plan. :) I just did not want to dither between them as I have been doing with Once Upon a River & Sweep in Peace. I started OUaR first, but SiP has stolen my attention - lol.
Oh, and if that was your choice, someone else voted and shifted the order.

Although your 2nd place and her 2nd place are different (unless someone else also voted in the interim) :D

Enjoy the time with your mom and read when you can.
I'm only reading a few pages a night as well, mainly due to dithering between which book I want to read at the moment and tiredness.

Participation is always appreciated.

I am disappointed - I expected more. There were a few bright spots (three out of eight), but overall it has received my lowest score (to date) as a group - 3.5 avg.
Previous to TFS, I read the Dark Corners collection. With an average rating of 3.6, I expected that to be my lowest ranked collection (Especially since I only gave five stars to one of the seven stories!). Although tagged as a horror collection, only two (maybe three) of the stories deserved that genre. The others were more mysterious or suspenseful. Horror is not my favorite genre, but if a story is pitched as such, I would expect it to be there.
My next AoS collection is called Warmer - a Cli-Fi series (I didn't even know that was a thing, but I guess it makes sense). I'm looking forward to reading a new-to-me genre.
Additionally, I am currently enjoying Once Upon a River. It has been a sad tale so far but engrossing.
I plan to start Sweep in Peace this weekend.

I loved this one. I love the main character Vicky.
I'm five books ahead of schedule! I hadn't thought that would happen this year.
1. Congratulations on pulling ahead!! Hoping you continue to have GoodReads! :)
Also, continued best wishes to the family. I hope your dad is doing okay.
2. I read the first four books from The Others series and enjoyed them very much. I'm assuming I stopped due to something going on in real life, which is usually what stops me in my tracks.
I hope to return to the series sooner than later.
So much to read - so little time!
