42178 Aerosmith is a part of your lifetime soundtrack!

42178 Walk This Way was my intro to Aerosmith, and I became a fan in the 90s when they seemed to be everywhere! :) I listened to their Big Ones album on repeat!

42178 My reading for the year is officially complete. Review of 2023

I will now drown my housing problem sorrows by binge-watching Reacher on Amazon Prime.

Once again, Happy New Year! Stay Safe & Have Fun!

42178 Interesting! Hopefully, this is another series my daughter and I can read together. While she is an adult, spicey reads give her the ick.

42178 It seems I am at that point where nothing is holding my attention.

I assume it's the stress of suddenly having to find a new place to live, and everything is price-wise out of range.

We are looking at a place on Saturday and hope it will work out.

42178 LOL! I hear you. Even knowing I'm a mood reader, I still try to plan, with varying results. Doing the Buddy Reads (as opposed to Group Reads) helps!

I'm a bit obsessed! LOL
I don't expect to read all of them. They are either scheduled buddy reads or series I've wanted to read for a while (well, except the orc porn - that just happened! ROFL!!) There are a few more series I'm tempted to add but have resisted (so far). However, seeing them listed may help if I'm unsure what I want to read.

Well, someone is all ready for 2024. LOL Guess I need to get in gear! :D"

Based on the trouble I seem to be getting myself into, the 21 spots may not have been an exaggeration after all! *Sigh*

42178 First! :)

Have a fantastic 2024!

I realize that the first two books were sweet stories with explicit sex scenes, whereas this author seems to focus on the explicitness first and then tries to work a story around it. Sometimes, that's okay (I mean, these are intended to be erotic stories), but it can also be off-putting.

Plus, the leading female is supposed to be coming off as shy. Instead, it sounds more like she has low self-esteem. The leading male is a recluse (due to being an orc in a human-centric neighborhood and therefore having trust issues), but five seconds after meeting the female, he immediately wants to jump her bones. I mean, really?

42178 Heh, so I read the second-place book Candy for My Orc Boss yesterday. I enjoyed it but not quite as much as Cupcakes for My Orc Enemy - It was my initial choice, though.

Now, I'm reading the third/last place book, Cookies for My Orc Neighbor, and the main female character is already irritating me four pages in. So, I guess the poll was a success - the placements were spot on! LOL

Interestingly, what I'm reading now is written by the same author as the Monsters Love Curvey Girls series I had been reading this year, so I have hope that things will turn around sooner than later (I mean there are only 84 pages to this story, so it better - lol).

I hope so too! Really looking forward to hearing how that goes..."

I read Cupcakes for My Orc Enemy! today. It was cuter than I thought it would be. Here is my review.

42178 52 is an excellent number - a book a week.
When you say, “no heavy lifting” do you mean that you felt unchallenged this year?

42178 First! :D
