35559 Everything is Tuberculosis by John Green is mostly set in Sierra Leone, if anybody is looking for a recommendation. It's short, but really interesting! I just read it a couple of weeks ago.

35559 I have a couple of questions.

Should we enter stuff into the team spreadsheet, or the planning spreadsheet? I've requested access, so if someone can add me to that then I can start planning my books. :)

Will all the parts of the challenge be open at the same time? All 3 mini challenges right away?

I am only a few prompts away from finishing! I'm so excited to get that one done and dusted. But I still have about nine others after that. LOL

35559 Hi Team! Sorry for the late checkin - for some reason GR wasn't giving me any notifications for the TT groups. :(

I'm 54 and live in the Seattle area (so PST). I am married and have three grown kids, two of whom still live at home so it's still a housefull. The youngest two are in college (one here and one in a neighboring state).

I have a part time job at a local independent bookstore, and I'm president of my Friends of the Library chapter. These two activities keep me pretty busy, and I spend every spare moment reading! I love almost all genres, but particularly enjoy dystopian, light horror, complex romance, queer lit, and graphic novels. I don't love romantasy or historical fiction all that much, but I will dabble.

I've done TT for the last two years and have loved it. I'm also doing about 10 personal challenges like 52 Book Club reading challenge and Booklist Queen and others. Unfortunately, none of my immediate reading lists included a lot of unique countries, but I'll see what I can come up with!!

Oh, here's my shelf: Tricia's shelf

35559 aw I loved that one! It's my favorite Katherine Center. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy it much. 😔

35559 Did we get teams assigned? I feel like I've missed something. :(

35559 Read my first book for this challenge! woo hoo! I'm busy focusing on other challenges for now but will give this challenge my attention soon.

Caste by Isabel Wilkerson - I gave it 3.5 stars. It had an amazing premise and I learned some interesting things, but at over 500 pages it was honestly way too long and got very repetitive by the end.

Wow - 400 books is amazing! A TBR refresh always feels great. My problem is a bunch will end up creeping back onto the list after a while. lol

35559 Love this challenge! The first year I picked a new number after each read book. Last year I picked my books ahead of time. Honestly, I liked the novelty of picking a new number each time, so I'm going back to that this year!

35559 I'm calling this one done for the year. I did not complete my goal of reading all my books added to goodreads in 2019 and 2020.

I DID read or delete all the 2019 books:
Read: 5
Deleted: 4
Of the 5 titles I read, I got one 5 star, two 4 stars, and two 3 stars. I consider that pretty good!

For 2020 books:
Read: 3
Deleted: 1
Moved to next year: 7
Of the 3 that I read, I got one 4 star and two 3 stars.

For next year, I'm going to try and tackle all the books I added in 2020 and 2021.

35559 This challenge is suffering greatly from my need to finish all the other challenges I signed up for. I think I definitely may have bitten off more than I can chew this year. :(

35559 I said that and then flipped through The Alchemist and it looks like a pretty fast read, so I'll try and get it done today or by tomorrow morning. If someone has one quicker, that's totally fine also - I need this for another challenge anyway.

35559 I have two possibilities for orange cover, but I'm not particularly fast, so they might not get done much sooner than the end of the challenge.
