I can also highly recommend both Migrations and Wild Dark Shore!! Charlotte McConaghy is one of my favorite authors! Narration for both is terrific. Wild Dark Shore is a full cast.

Jane Austen's Bookshelf is going to take me a while to read. It's nonfiction with really long chapters, so I keep needing to take a break from it.
If someone else wants to take Orange, White, Green and Blue on the cover, please feel free!!
I will finish it eventually, but hate to think of the team waiting on it.

Amazing job everyone!!! 👏 🙌

For a book tagged something, can the word be used in a phrase, or does it have to be alone? For example, if it has to be tagged "book" at least 10 times, would it count if the tag is "book club" or "book I own" or something like that?

I finished Emilia Del Valle! :D

Where do we find the Food for the Soul list?

Oh, and I can also confirm that more than 50% of My Name is Emilia del Valle takes place in Chile, so it could count as Chile or Peru! Just in case more people want to read it. :)

Oh there is a typo in the title, that's why my find didn't show me your row. It is this book correct..."Oh how weird! I wonder if autocorrect went crazy on me. I've adjusted it in the spreadsheet. I'm busy now until this evening, but I've only got one hour left so I will definitely finish it tonight!

Aiswrya- it's already in the ss under my name. It's assigned to mini #1 - Peru.

I'm expecting to finish Emilia Del Valle today if that helps anywhere. Emilia starts with E. The translation is done by Francis Riddle so there's an R. And the audio narrator is Coral Peña so there's a C or a P. I'll post here as soon as I'm done and you can slot it in wherever needed!

I finished my mini #2 book, if someone wants to get a new prompt. :)

I will let the group know once I've finished the book if enough of it takes place in Chile to count as Chile also. :) In the meantime, I'll change it in the spreadsheet.
Silje wrote: "Tara and Tricia, both of you have a book for Chile on our itinerary #1. We must have 11 different countries on each itinerary. Is there any chance one of you can postpone and move your book to the ..."Isabel Allende presents an interesting question actually. She was officially born in Peru to Chilean parents and she considers herself Chilean. I haven't finished Emilia Del Valle yet so I'm not sure how much of it actually takes place in Chile. So as an author birthplace, would we need to use Peru instead of Chile? They are both level 2 countries.

Question: Do we get a bonus for filling out the 11 book itineraries? If not, wouldn't it make more sense to use all the books that are level 1 AND level 2 for other prompts and only use level 3s for the itineraries? That way we unlock the mini 2 and mini 3 prompts more quickly?

But I get loads of free ARCs, free ALCs from Libro.fm, and I get to chat about books with people! So it's still pretty nice.
I finished In Order to Live. It was really interesting and I recommend it for anyone wanting to get a North Korea book under their belt.

I am making great progress on my north Korea book but I have to work today so not sure if I'll finish it until tomorrow. Also only have about 75 pages left of Buffalo hunter hunter. Going to try and finish both by tomorrow! 😀

4 hours! I'm getting really excited!! :)

Robin - I see that you read a TON of books, so if you see any task of mine that you've completed before I can, please feel free to bump me! :) Just let me know so I can go up and find a new spot for my book.
I read over 300 books two years ago, but about a year ago I got a part time job and now I'm president of my local friends of the library chapter, and those are keeping me much busier so my reading pace has really dropped.

Twisted Love isn't that smutty. It's a pretty standard romance though. Brother's millionaire best friend has to "watch over" the little sister and of course they fall for each other. It's aggressively fine.

I'm really good about making book plans, but don't always follow through as I get distracted by shiny new books (sheepish grin) - but I have these on my TBR:
Transcendent Kingdom by Yaa Gyasi - born in Ghana
My Name is Emilia Del Valle by Isabel Allende - born in Peru
In Order to Live: A North Korean Girl's Journey to Freedom by Yeonmi Park - born in North Korea
Martyr! by Kaveh Akbar - born in Iran
Solito by Javier Zamora - born in El Salvador
Good and Evil and Other Stories by Samantha Schweblin - born in Argentina
