35559 Task 101: Read a book with bone(s) on the cover. I just finished Tender is the Flesh that has horns in silhouette. Do you guys think it counts? Here's a pic of the cover.

Yes! And I am almost done with it. Should finish it tomorrow. :)

35559 Sorry I've been no help on chipmunk tasks the last few days. I have an enormous stack of books I checked out of the library that I need to read, and they just aren't working for any of the tasks.

Quick question about the new spell it outs. Since we get a bonus for each completed word, should we focus on the short words first?

35559 #24 - Blood on the Tracks (Sydney Rose Parnell, #1) by Barbara Nickless

I almost gave up on this one, as my library just didn't have any of her books, but then all of a sudden I got notified that they had a copy for me. I'm so glad I read it - I thought it was really good. I'm not sure I'll continue with the series, only because I have so many other books on my TBR and this particular storyline wrapped up in a nice spot, but I definitely enjoyed it. 4 stars.

I read the Magpie Lord this month which has an MC and supporting characters that are magicians. It's currently slotted in MC18, if you want to move it.

35559 I just read an Emily Tesh but we used it for the chemical element task. I've put her second book on hold at the library. If the task is still open when it comes then we can use it for task 80.

35559 Would author Nordika Night work for task #80? Or not since there aren't two Ns in TEN?

Yes, please. I love to plan also. :)

35559 Of the 13 books I've read so far this month that count for TT, 7 went to chipmunk tasks. Which means I've only read half of what I did last month for our regular tower. Is this something to be concerned about? Should we be focusing on our main tower first, or will it all work out in the end? (In case you can't tell, I'm more of a planner than a go with the flow person - lol)

35559 I will check for those years as well. I had several from 2016 but it sounds like others have that covered.

35559 I have a book with the initials that work for task 65, but if someone has a banked book or one they are reading now that will work, feel free to replace it. I probably won't start my book for at least a day as I currently have 3 in progress.

35559 Judith - I am reading a Girl is a Half-formed Thing and made an assumption that a Women's Prize for Fiction Winner would be a future task since the Booker Prize was one already. If I'm wrong, feel free to remove the hold on it. I haven't finished it yet.

35559 How the Word Is Passed A Reckoning with the History of Slavery Across America by Clint Smith

I think this counts as a text only cover, right? I should have it finished by tomorrow most likely.

35559 I've finished the book for chipmunk #26. And I've finished the book for chipmunk #19, but it was a 400 page book so not sure if you want to use it there or leave it for our main tower? I can read another school-setting book instead if we'd rather I did that. Just let me know.

Makes sense - I will just try reopening the page next time.

Lexi - Feel free to rehide the completed rows. It certainly does make it easier to see what's open. :)

Unhiding them seems to have helped. Everything is in the right place now. I tried to rehide the finished tasks to see if it caused the problem again, but the page is locked for me.

I have a popular science book I can read next, but I need a day or two to finish my current books before I start that one. So if someone else is faster, that's fine!

35559 I'm not seeing the new tasks in the chipmunks spreadsheet. Were they hidden? (spreadsheet is locked for me and I can't unhide rows) And it also looks like some books got put on tasks that aren't unlocked yet. Not sure if this is just a problem on my end.
