Lexi's book The Seventh Day was finished on 6/2 and would work for chipmunk task #1.
And I finished a book last night (Us by Sarina Bowen) that will work for 2016 when that task finally shows up. It's currently on a rainbow spot.

My book "With the Fire on High" can be used for either the school task or best of 2019 (#51 on the list). Whichever helps us more is fine me with me. But I'm listening to it on audio and I'm halfway through, so it will take me another day or two.
Oh, it also is a 400 page book, so if we'd rather use it for the main tower, that's okay also. :)

Yellowface, which Jaxn finished today, has 10 characters in the title, so could work for chipmunk #23.

I already put myself in for a best of 2022 book (The Sunbearer Trials), but am happy to remove it if someone else reads one first.
Judith wrote: "I think it's a bit too much of a stretch"Not surprised. But figured I should check! ;)
I just started this book this morning, and I immediately thought the red circle looked like a red balloon. Is that potentially a match for chipmunk task #11? Or not close enough?

I just finished Smoke Gets in Your Eyes which is a nonfiction book about a woman who works in a Crematory and goes to Mortuary School. Would that count as science for the new Chipmunk challenge? It's currently in a RT but I'm happy to move it.

Entered my completed book for the chipmunk challenge, but it didn't open up a new task for us. I'm assuming the captains have to confirm it? Going to head to bed and will check back in the morning, and grab a new task.

#23 -
I really enjoyed this book. It's nonfiction, and I can see some people finding it disturbing or gross, but I actually found it really informative and reassuring.

I was able to find an audio version which says it's over 4, so it should be okay. Now to see if I can get it from the library.
I've added a book to the SS but can't find a place for it. There are very few letters left for the CT, and it doesn't fit into any of the WT options. Can you guys do another round of rainbows and open up more spaces? :)

How do I determine the official word count of a book that has some illustrations in it?

I finished my 500 page book and am excited to see we just need one more 500 page book to finish our tower for May! :D
I'm still working on some other titles and will start my chipmunk book in order to finish it on June 1st.

I'm headed out of town for a funeral so won't be making any updates to the spreadsheet until I get back on Monday. I'm 44% through my 500 page book so that will definitely happen. Will also plan to start my Chipmunk book in order to have it finished on June 1st. Happy weekend :)

Somebody asked about a book connected to a TV show yesterday for a Chipmunk prompt but I don't see it now. If anyone is looking for a recommendation, Station Eleven by Emily St John Mandel is one of my favorite books of all time and was made into an HBO series. I didn't think the show was good, but the book is amazing.

I thought we were using tineye for percentages but recognizing it's name for colors is often very wrong as Lexi mentioned. So I'm going to call this light yellow and if that's wrong captains are welcome to move it. :D
Does this book cover work as a color? It's essentially cream, but since that isn't a color on the rainbow, I was thinking light yellow?

Lexi wrote: "It is just the number without a letter in front. I did it for one of Judith's books as an example.
One of us will get the color drop down. It makes sure one of the captains check the color cover."Got it - thanks!
