I grabbed a second a book because it was skinny when I finished my first one during the sprint, but it turned out it only has thin pages so it didn't fit in the Page Jumping event after all. I want to put it in decorations because it has some lovely flowers and a background of vines so I think it would work for our colors of Green and Yellow and our theme of "things a Tapir would eat."

I hope your books are engrossing enough to take you away from all the frustrations of the situation! For what it's worth my brother's kitchen is lovely now, but it was a month of horror for them as the water damage results came in. I hope you have already heard the worst and that your weather stays hot and dry to speed up the process!

Olympics: Page Jumping -- Event 2 (Page Jumping) Heat 2 Leg 3 Book 8

It should work, because you need a lot of rope to make a noose, right?
Also, wheel shouldn't be hard to find -- any car on the road should do:
▲ Wheels must be "a circular object that revolves on an axle and is fixed below a vehicle or other object to enable it to move easily over the ground" and of a size that can SUPPORT the Chariot/Driver
(wheels off a car, bike, wagon.... are ok; a ferris wheel or roulette wheel are not)
I stay stick with the colors Green and Yellow because 1) We found books for them 2) They are the color of stuff tapirs eat, and 3) They are bright and fast!

My book, Quick Fix, is for tool on the cover (saw)"
We need two tools. Your saw is in use!

Sheila, I think they moved you off the 12 letter thing because you had two and someone needed a spot. If you can't find something else that fits then maybe stuff will move around again?

I was joking, but then I went to look up the rules, and they say:
"When in doubt, ask yourself if you can USE the item to actually CREATE this Chariot. If you have to question it, the answer is no! "
So I'm a little worried. Do you have another book that would fit in Event 5?

When I finish those I should read read books with arms and tools and wheels on the cover as well as short books, and then books about fighters. And if I finish THOSE and we still aren't done, (I doubt this will happen) I will see if anyone wants to trade out books they haven't started yet. And I can read for decorations for our chariot.
If we get a ruling about whether we can read ahead the BONUS books I will work on those, but I'll wait for the ruling.

Task: Event 5: Round 4: Number 12 on Cover "A Novel of the Twelve Houses"

So now I'm confused as well. I've still got the books I promised for the beginner rounds to read (I'll work at that during the sprint) and then I was planning on looking at the spreadsheets and nibbling away at empty spots, but it would be nice if some clever person explained it to me.

Events
▲ Individual Events have their own rules and points system, please review carefully
▲ Heat 1 of Event 1: Title Relay must be completed prior to starting Event 2!
No books may be STARTED for any other Olympic Event until Heat 1 of Title Relay is COMPLETED and is entered into the spreadsheet!
▲ No bonus rounds may be STARTED until all events have been marked √ COMPLETE.

And I would LOVE an excuse to reread Dog Warrior -- anyone got a Warrior book to make it 20?

Music
Six
Gypsy
Lord
To
Duel
Life
Brutally
Any of those would be great :-)

Ashley is talking about The Moon and More and Revenge of the Witch, for the 15 chain that we've built. Sheila, can you look at it? If can can hook it to one of the little chains we could have a 20 chain!
Erin's book Witch Blood is a great hook chance -- lots of books start with Blood; we've got to be able to get one of them to link back into the little chain! (Erin, I wrote you book into the spreadsheet, is that OK? It has to be at least a two word title).

Let us know what you need -- you may want to keep one as an excuse to barricade yourself in a library for an afternoon.

And then Sheila may want to give us one of her sprints, after the disaster at her house. Sheila, I'm so sorry! That kind of thing is so horrifying, annoying, expensive and inconvenient! Was it an appliance? I remember when my brother found out their kitchen refrigerator was defective by having it leak so much it set off the fire alarm in the basement...
