It was close to the wire :-) I was hoping my message got there before you tireless captains got to it.
I think y'all are awesome! And good guesses too.
I read George last night and put in the Read Books thread. I just thought I'd mention that I looked it up in the AR page to confirm that it counted as a book, since it's kidlit. Now I'm going to finish Five Thousand Years of Slavery although the task I started it for is completed (B-2 Five word title). It would also work for Not a series (F-6) if I'm not in there yet, or F-1 (25+ character title).

Sorry -- I got Magic Shifts from Sallie's shelves.
Should I put a book on my Wobble shelf when I finish it or when I start it? I've been doing it as I start them but I realized this might be confusing for the Captains. Of course it's only been a few books so far, so I hope I haven't messed up too much.
Book: Magic Shifts
Finished: 6/20/16
Assigned task application:
Additional tasks: B-6 (teammates shelf -- Sallie)
(It also fits C-3 -- Kate Daniel #8 but I think I already read one for that task)

There's a Wobble: Battleship folder with the rules inside:
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
From reading the battleship rules, it does look like a cunning strategy would be to only allot books to hits and save the rest for the end and then use leftovers for misses. On the other hand, you guys totally rocked the pre-game challenge while I was off sulking because I thought I didn't get picked for a team, so we may not need a cunning strategy. I think it's more fun to nail down every challenge, hit or miss. We may have the reading chops to do it that way :-)
I thought the proposed picks for next week looked good, with hunting out the ships we hit and fishing for more.
Thanks for welcoming me in despite my tardiness!

Finished Only Beloved. Tomorrow I can either start Magic Shifts for B-6 (it's on Callie's shelves) or Five Thousand Years of Slavery for B-2. And then I could get Lock In back from my son for D-2. Those all look like spots where we have only one book so far. After that I should look for a Historical, Humor, or YA book.
I think I understand Battleship rules -- we need to get 2 books for every task. We can do extra books for "hits."
We can save up read books for next Monday's guess tasks. Each person can only do a task once, and we all have to do at least two tasks.
I'm ready to read!
Book: Only Beloved by Mary BaloghFinished: 6/18/16

I'm here! Sorry, I missed when I got appointed to this team. I have to go look at the assignments to see what I should read. I have to spend several hours waiting for my kid outside a pool tomorrow, so I should be able to finish at least one book.I read most of Only Beloved today; that's the 7th book in Mary Balogh's Survivor's Club series -- will that work for something? I'll finish it tonight in hopes.
