Well, we aren't concentrating on points. Remember how we decided to do all the challenges in Battleship instead of concentrating on bonus? We keep being nice to each other and having fun instead of squeezing every last point out of each other.

I'm pretty happy with our team, though. :-)

Plethora, I finished Over Sea, Under Stone -- do you mind if we use it for Event 3 in place of your book The Forbidden Stone? You've got a lot of pages in the book chain, so you could go on to them.

I was thinking we could use one of the bonus tasks to finish the 15 chain?

Sallie, Miranda, or anyone with extra reading time, do you have a book that ends with Even or that starts with Memphis, Kills, Deb, Prey, or Miracle?

We can use a bonus that lets us ignore "A, An or The" if that helps.

Or Sheila -- you are only there for four books; we can use a bonus that lets you go back-to-back with yourself.

We need two more books! Does anyone have time to read more books and have something that ends in EVEN or starts with Memphis or Kills or Deb or Prey?

I put the number in because we only get credit for an unbroken chain.

So if the person on book #3 doesn't finish, we only get credit for books 1 and 2. Of course our clever captains will hopefully wait to turn them in until near the end, because then they could turn in 4-17 for a fifteen chain, but you see what I mean.

I'll go do one more book list with the 15 chain added in. This might be a good time to move some people around. Sallie isn't in the chain at all, so if she could read a naked ARM book for Event 3, Erin could skip that book and start on her chain books.

20 Chain again -- if you can't read your book, please speak up NOW. Remember that it's very important that you finish at least one book for Events 1, 2, and 5, and that we lose huge points by not finishing a heat in any event. And that you can still drop books from Events 3 & 4 (and extra books from events 1,2, & 5). So to read this bonus book you should probably have finished all your other books first (not counting optional decorations and coaching books).

These bonuses look good. The first two would help us complete the 15 chain, and the last one would make coaching less of a problem. What do y'all think?

Sheila, right, we have not been given the go for any bonus rounds yet. Decorations and fight books are all that's legally left.

I just put on my spy hat and peeked into the SNARLING SABERTOOTHS area. Wow, they are scary organized. Anyway, they have people reading multiple books for decorations.

@Plethora, would you mind terribly if I stole your Event 3 "Stone" book (The Forbidden Stone)? I'd MUCH rather read Over Sea, Under Stone than any of these boxing books.

Or my flower book , but I'll try to poke at that too.

I don't think that decorations count as a task, so I think so. Carmen?

I'm not really enjoying Listen, Slowly -- it's the book I grabbed because it was next to my chair when I finished my first book during the sprint.
