I don't mind the one hit guys -- easy and fast XP! But I guess we could handle fairly tough ones now.

I finished Nine Princes in Amber for the essential oils card; if we steal Carmen and Ashley's books from the scavenger hunt we could turn them in. Or look for other books, I guess; there are so many oils that finding the words is pretty easy.

Man, where are the monsters when we need them? About 48 XP points to the next level.

I only read a book a day, mostly, so I wouldn't finish before tomorrow either. I'll drop down to the next card , which may have some holes if we steal the books for the essential oil card.

I was thinking the Amber book for the essential oil card, because amber showed up on the list. I guess it works for a N as well. Also it's somewhere on my shelves but I'm not sure where. The pennyroyal book is in front of me.

I think it's better to do the cards than to save for the weapon. After we get to the next level we can look back at the series books. What do you think?

I found a book Pennyroyal Academy. Pennyroyal is on that list of essential oils. Does that work?

If so, we could steal from the other scavenger books and turn in the essential oil book when I finish it. Then we'll have two cards to turn in (card flow!) and maybe another one when we finish one more GR Awards book.

Where should I read next? I could read a letter (I've got plenty of Rs and Ns) if Sheila wants to hand one off. Sheila, are you finishing both of those today, or should I take one so the card is done tonight?

Or I could read another GR's award book.

Or work on my scavenger hunt book, I guess.

I finished The War That Saved My Life, a GR nominee. I picked up Branded by the Pink Triangle but there were a lot of pictures so I looked on arbookfind and it's under 25K words. On the other hand, it's a YA book about Nazis, gays, and concentration camp. Is the word count rule only for children's books, or also for YA books?

Just in case I switched to my backup book, which is about the Triangle factory fire and is definitely long enough, page count wize. But I'd prefer to read the first one if it were legal.

We didn't use either of the books ones that I know of. I have vivid memories of some really dull parts of Atlas Shrugged, so was mostly thinking of poor Ang. But maybe she's enjoying it? I was only a teenager when I read it so that could have been the trouble.

I'll go back to reading my Triangle Book and my GR award book.

It's just that I remember reading Atlas Shrugged and Tom Jones in the distant past, and I know I sometimes needed a break.

Did we find out about the essential oils? Do we just need to find books with the words "lavender" "cinnamon" etc or do we need to find people using the oils in the books?

Finished a book with immortal angels for the last weird word spot, so I think that one is ready to go.

So, there are all these MILON bonuses we can use this round. I think we should use all the potions we have left and the free gold just so we have them available as points at the end. (Unless we get points for unused MILONs?)

We can also get a free book and duplicate another book. How much longer do we have? We should probably use those at the end.

I finished my weird word book, so now only Perpetuity is left. I'm thinking I'll read a vampire book next for that one, unless Sheila or someone really wants that spot.

I have to go run some errands, so I put my name down but if someone else wants to read for that spot by tomorrow feel free to grab it. If I get bounced I'll just go on to a GR award (I've got a middle grade The War that Saved My Life on my to-read pile) or maybe my triangle book.

Nine would finish Weapon #9. Put it there and move Paula to Weapon Level 10, which will also need a nine. I think if it finishes something that's where to put it. Also, vampires and GR awards are fairly easy to find. I've can see both on my shelves; I'll finish my weird word soon and then pick up one or the other.

So upgrade our weapon and then you get first pick on another GR award or a vampire book!

I thought the last one was in the title instead of the text? That's the one that looked really hard to me.

So I do I need to find the word lavender or do I need to find lavender oil? It's hard to imagine a title with the oil in it although I have an Amber Bock

What are essential oils? Is that like orange or vanilla? Are there others?
