35559 Or swing that sword, Plethora! Down with the Rare Binding Boss, putting us at full health and 65 hit points at Level 10!

If we killed the Plague Bringer, we'd level up again. And we could test out some cure poison potions. Just sharpening our swords over here.

35559 I have a J book I could finish by tonight. The thing is, that card only gives us 12 XP, and we need 96 to level up. And after that it takes about 200 XP points to level up again for the next levels. Card XP now makes only a marginal difference. All the bosses left have a reward of 100 or more XP, so the way to level up to to defeat them.

I don't have a firm grasp of how being poisoned works but it sounds bad. Most of the last bosses poison us, so I think we should concentrate on cards with poison cures and heals and ways to poison the bosses back. We can buy some at the store too, I think? But Greater stuff only comes through cards. I don't know if Cure Poison cures Greater Poison, for example.

Remember, we don't get points for XP, we get points for what level we are at, and the bosses are the only way to level up in the next two days. So let Carmen start swinging her axe!

Points
◈ 30 Points per Weapon Level
◈ 45 Points per Hero Level
◈ 2 Point per Gold Remaining
◈ 5 Points per Potion Remaining <== better than gold!
◈ 30 Points per Tournament Knockout <== (never mind? or do bosses count?)

Anyway, I'll start my J book, but I'll try to keep an eye on the discussion and if we decide to switch focus I'm willing to add it to my ginormous currently-reading pile and read whatever for the rest of the weekend.

35559 I finished the book Bayou Magic by Jewell Parker Rhodes and put it in card 38, which finishes that one. I moved Paula's book down to the R in STRAW.

Plethora, I need direction!

I think Level 12 weapon is a long shot -- do I work on cards? I have a quick book that shows a river and is by someone named Rhodes, so it would shadow Paula's book which is by an R guy and shows a river. We'd both have spots for our book no matter who finishes first.

35559 Sheila, one of my mystery series was published in 2008 -- I could read that quick and let you get something in 2011 if you want to cover that card. (I already read all the ones on the other open dates.)

Or I could hunt around for a 9th book.

35559 OK, we just nudged into Level 9, so we are at full hit points (60), and need about 120 points to the next level.

I'm not sure which bosses the captains are planning to take down next, but we could definitely defeat The Thesaurus and/or The Rare Binding with a lot of heal potions and probably some poisons. If we defeat both of those we go up to level 10.

The bosses are such high XP that the cards might not be necessary to level up. So I'm concentrating on our weapon again -- we should be able to get one more level up there. What do the captains want? Do they see some XP gaps we should fill in with cards, or do they want us to eke out a few more weapon points?

35559 Carmen, I had to finish a book before the library made it go poof, and it's the second in a series. Yours is marked unfinished so I moved it down one, or you can move thing around wherever you like.

Tomorrow I'll work on the #4, but I own that so it's not going anywhere.

35559 Blood Makes the Grass Grow! (Play rugby.) I mean Go Team Tapirs!

That's probably why we are killing all these monsters. Don't tapirs eat grass?

35559 Ang, I switched over to my weapon book so if you took my card spot that would be grand.

And we're level 9! Woot! Max health of 60,so if we don't keel over instantly when something hits for 50. That gives Carmen more options. Keep up the bloodthirsty work, Carmen!

35559 Captains -- where do you want us to focus? On the Weapon Level 11 or do we have specific XP goals? We need to level up twice to fight the guys who hit for 50 points (and the shield potions will start being crucial there). But we're fighting things with big XP, so only certain cards are needed.

Where do we read? Currently I'm working on the card 38, the country side one where I'm reading a book in an imaginary country.

35559 Done with The Ruins of Karzelek, or Mandrake Company #4. Let's swing that new weapon!

Or we can finish the card. I guess I'd better get to work on my Dragon Book when I wake up.

35559 Awesome! I'm two chapters from the end of a 4 Series book, so I should be finished when you wake up. Go Tapirs!

If we finish that 12 point card, we'll level up. Which is the next boss we're taking down, are do we go for the dragon?

35559 I went poking around because I saw we were at 199 points and I could taste Level 7, just one point away... And now I have my cake and I am eating it with delight.

They got it in, so we're officially level 7.

I've started a fast Series 4 book in case Ang is overwhelmed by work. I should finish sometime tonight, but if someone else has something I don't mind putting it aside to work on my imaginary country book.

There is definitely higher grounds in the distance, although it's not a charming mountain valley. Is the setting someplace with valleys? I mean, if it's in Iowa, that doesn't say "valley" to me, but if it someplace like Montana, then I picture flat places as valleys.

So I say yes, but I am obviously biased.

35559 Woot! Level seven. Forget that RASP card.

As soon as we level up our weapon, we should kill more things!

We should totally kill Boss 1. And then the dragon. That will level us up again.

35559 Yes, delete it. For some reason I can't see above line 170 -- wow, you read a lot :-) -- for your books on the official list, so I can't tell if you have anything else unread.

I noticed on mine that Dark Witch didn't get used. I think that I forgot to wobblize it appropriately when it was needed, so I put it on the list. But we could use it to finish off the new RASP card and level up if Miranda isn't around (and if her book is actually the one glitching).

R: Dark Witch (Beth) because Nora Roberts wrote it.
A: London Bridges (Nancy) because Alex Cross is main character
S: Desconexión (Unwind #1) (Paula) because Shusterman wrote it
P: Princess in Pink (Nancy) because Princess

35559 Miranda, I peeked at the official spreadsheet and I'm not seeing Haunted on your list. Is it marked as wobble and complete?
