35559 I've finished and I loved this book!

Auggie was so inspirational! It was sad about the (view spoiler)

A lot happens in the last third of the book - (view spoiler)

One of my favorite things about the book were Mr. Browne's Precepts. They sure are something our world could use right now!

My cry count is up to 3 by now, I'm honestly not very surprised. I'm really enjoying the writing style as well - it's so chatty and reading it just sounds like someone is telling me this story."

I liked the writing style, too. At first I was a bit confused because the chapters seemed so short and sort-of random, but it really grew on me and kept me interested in the story.

35559 Thanks Danielle & Erika!

Also, Buddy Reads are actually 30 points (Book of the Month's are 20 points and Harry Potter buddy reads are 40 points) so even better!!!

I was so surprised at how easy this book was to read and get into the story too, Sarah. I usually struggle with the classics!

It must have been so hard for his parents to make the decision to send him to school, knowing what he might go through.

35559 It's a quiet weekend for me. I went to lunch with my niece yesterday and then she helped me set up my Firestick and get Netflix. Yep - I'm new to it!! So I spent most of yesterday looking through all the menus and then I watched Mama Mia. I should have waited until TT is over to get this set up (although I'm not a big TV watcher.)

Today I'm going to try and get caught up with the many books I've got in progress right now, including my Buddy Read for Wonder (Wonder, #1) by R.J. Palacio , which is really good (hmmm, I wonder if it's on Netflix? No pun intended!) And the next HP book on my list Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Harry Potter, #5) by J.K. Rowling . I've realized that I'm not a huge HP fan (I know, I shouldn't admit that during the challenge - we may get points deducted from our team!😝.) I have enjoyed the books I've read, but they aren't the kind of books I would normally read one after the other - I need more of a break in between each one.
