I'm done! I liked how (view spoiler)[ Grace and Jackson got back together but took some time apart to get to know themselves. I'm also glad Grace and her mom were able to repair their relationship. I really, really didn't like her mom, but after finding out about her dad and his affairs, it all made much more sense. (hide spoiler)]

Overall, I enjoyed this book.

It's really terrible how (view spoiler)[ Grace is so sweet and she keeps getting dumped on by her mom, the townspeople and Finn. It's also frustrating to see her keep taking it. (hide spoiler)]

I really like Josie and Judy and I'm so glad Grace has them!

I'm done too! This book was just okay for me. Although understandable, Avery's (view spoiler)[ inability or unwillingness to communicate with Cam was very annoying. As I think back on the book, it was just a lot of angst and drama on Avery's part. Again, understandable, but it got old. (hide spoiler)]

Yes, it's sad, but also frustrating that Avery isn't willing to trust Cam and so put herself in this situation. It was nice that he helped when she got sick, but then he backed off again.

I'm up to chapter 15. Ramirez has (view spoiler)[ arrived. When she would talk to him on the phone before he got there, I was so surprised she didn't talk to her kids - they seemed kind-of like an afterthought. (hide spoiler)]

I enjoyed the (view spoiler)[scene where her mom and Mrs. R and Marco are trying to get rid of the bad juju - the cornish game hen was pretty funny. (hide spoiler)]

Right now Maddie is in (view spoiler)[ the contestant's hotel room. I keep wondering how Miss Arkansas made it to the contest being so klutzy and my suspicions are increased with her being so messy and Maddie finding the bikini top in her drawer. (hide spoiler)]

Tonight I'm going out to dinner for my niece's birthday and other than that I don't have any plans.

I'm still trying to get into this book and I'm struggling. I'm only up to Chapter 7 after more than a week! I may have to get the audiobook - it sounds more entertaining. I like it best when the kids are at Hogwarts - in this book and the previous one, there is so much of the book taking place outside of the school.
