Yay! Megan finished the "hourglass" and it sounds like Lauri is making good progress with her "G" book! We are rocking this card! Captain Laura is going to be so happy to see our progress when she gets home!
Team,I tried to update the spreadsheet with our new Read books, but something wasn't clicking right for me. Bummer! I wanted to help Laura out, so she wouldn't be faced with that chore when she got home from work. I'll just keep reading for now and I'm sure she or Amanda will update as soon as they can.

How it fits: Picture of baby on cover and story is about a mom fighting to get custody of her baby back after being in a coma for 10 months. Fits "baby" square.
I just finished
for the "baby" square. It was a simple, easy read with a predictable ending, but sometimes I find I just enjoy that kind of book.
Laura, I may finish my book before you get home this evening. It's reading really fast. I sure hope there's not another big, bad, hungry shark under that sweet baby!
Hi team!Hope everyone had a great summer! We did a lot of traveling and have just returned from a wedding in Michigan. Beautiful state, beautiful weather! Watched my oldest grandson board his bus for kindergarten this morning. His mom and I both shed a few tears with him starting a new, exciting chapter. For 32 years, I was on the other end welcoming the little ones back to school, so lots of mixed feelings.
Hope the reading is going well for all. I've been able to read a ton this summer!
Thanks Amanda. I'm about halfway through since able to read it while my husband drives on long trip home.
I have two possibilities for the Baby square. 1. Keeping Sam by Joanne Phillips- On my kindle Ebook the cover has a picture of a 1 year old and the story is about a mom who wakes up from a coma and her baby has been taken away from her.
2. Mazie Baby by Julie Frayn- has the word "baby" in the title.
The first interest me more, so I'll star on that until I hear back from you. Hope that's enough of a connection!
That's good that you just got lots of rain. We had side effects of another storm on the East coast and I heard (in Michigan currently) that our state (VA) got lots of rain. We've been dry for awhile, so it was appreciated. Read away!
