Can this work for a gold object on the cover? The dress or the dog collars? They're gold-colored, not gold material so wasn't sure if that would fit."

One captain in the Captain's Lounge thought the dress looked "more gold than yellow". I want to wait a bit and see if anyone else gives an opinion before I give you the go ahead.

35559 Sorry I didn't get a chance to check in yesterday, team. Long day and then I had my son and grandson last night all to myself, which is a rare treat!

I've started "Living Biblically" and thankfully it's going to be a faster read than my last book. I'm almost 1/3 through and finding it fairly comical.

You all are doing great with your reading! Off to check our "secret" on the spreadsheet now.

No, riding bicycles. I'm petrified of being on a motorcycle! We had perfect weather and a great time. Thanks.

Wow, that sounds intense! Very impressive!"

More fun than intense. There were 13 of us and we took breaks by stopping for lunch (and some marvelous coconut cake!) and then ended up at a winery. No drinking and cycling! That was where the cars were parked. :)

I am leaving now for an all day bike ride, so I won't be checking the thread. I'll return about 6pm EST.
Happy reading!

Have fun, Jennifer! If you see this please grab a main task. Everyone must read 2 main tasks for this go around and we want to make sure you have a bit of a choice.

35559 Way to go, Jennifer!

And I finally finished, The Summer Before the War. That is the second of my main tasks completed.

Now I will begin reading for Labor 3 "Spell Pemberley" with the book The Year of Living Biblically: One Man's Humble Quest to Follow the Bible as Literally as Possible. Here's hoping it is a faster read!

35559 That is a tricky one. When I first thought of large vehicle I thought of tank, ocean liner, fire engine, or big plane. But then to me an SUV is a large vehicle since we drive little cars. It will be interesting to see what others think. I think it's pretty open-ended as long as you're not trying to say a VW bug or something like that.

35559 Finally my current read is picking up some. Relieved b/c I really didn't want to continue to struggle through a 500 page book. I have got to start finding shorter books! Hoping to finish it soon and then I'll start The Year of Living Biblically One Man's Humble Quest to Follow the Bible as Literally as Possible by A.J. Jacobs , which I picked up from the library today for Labor 3 "title spells Pemberley". Thankfully it's a little shorter with 388pgs.

Good job finishing your book with limited time to read, Megan. RL takes priority sometimes, especially when it comes to making a living. :)

Rachel, happy to hear you're already enjoying The Kitchen House. I'll let Kathleen know! I will add your book to my TBR list and try to read it soon after I finish up a few first.

35559 Good morning team,
Hope everyone is well and reading right along. I agree with Laura...we're really knocking this game out of the park! I'm trying hard to finish my second main task. The book I'm reading now The Summer Before the War has been a slow start. I'm finally about half way through and hoping it picks up. It's by the same author as Major Pettigrew's Last Stand which I enjoyed and was part of the reason I selected it. Has anyone read it? Will it get better?

Rachel, I'm so happy to see you're going to read The Kitchen House. The author, Kathleen. lives not too far from me and she is a sweetheart! She spoke to our book club and has even invited me to attend one of her writing groups. I can't tell you how happy I am for her recent success. She is just so modest and normal. The Kitchen House is in my top 10. If you enjoy it, then be sure to read her newest book Glory over Everything: Beyond The Kitchen House, which is a continuation. It was just as good! Ok, I'll get off my soapbox now. :)
