35559 We did well in Round 4, team! We got more points than the last two rounds and had the highest bonus points we've had during the whole game. Way to go! We are currently in 7th place, but as long as we're having fun and upping our reading, it's all good! Enjoy zombie land!

35559 Dale,
Please add your book "My Kind of Beautiful" that you read on 12/10 to your shelf.

Good work, Stacey!

I'm hoping to finish my final book by deadline also.

Remember we can move books around on the SS to make books fit too!

ETA:
Updated the SS. We only need 3 more letters (books) to finish a 2nd completion of our word!

Yay! The book sounds pretty funny, actually.

35559 Thinking ahead to round 5, I went through Dale's list and the only one that's at my library wasMy Life as a White Trash Zombie. Sadly the tag is a combined tag of Horror/Zombies for 654 on the MPG. When I go to the next page (top shelves) it has Zombies for 655. Can we use the count from the top shelves page, or must it be MPG? I don't mind reading a book out of my usual realm, but I want to make sure it will count.

Thanks for those suggestions, Stacey! I do really like some of the titles. I'll check them out. Part of joining book challenges is reading things outside our norm.

35559 Ok, Dale. I found two editions for this on Goodreads.
The Kindle edition (KU); https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...

And the paperback edition: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...

Please click on both of these links and let us know which book you're reading. Then I think Louise can request a librarian's help, maybe.

35559 Way to go team for this week! It's harder with our longer spell out, but we're on target to get our spell out read two times if we read everything that's left on the tracking sheet. We have 14 letter spots left to fill in on our official sheet and we have 14 books left to read on our tracking sheet. We can do it!!!
Dec 10, 2022 07:27AM

35559 Dale, so do you mean you can't find the edition you're reading on Goodreads, or do you mean you selected a book on Amazon (where pages show), but you can't find that edition on Goodreads? If it's the second scenario, I think we can ask a librarian to add it to Goodreads. Louise, I'm looking to you for guidance on this one, since I'm not sure.

Zombies!! I'm hoping we have lots of zombie lovers on the team. Definitely not my genre. And semiosis? I had to look that one up; new word for me! Definition: the process of signification in language or literature. . I'm going to share that one with my RL book group. Haha!

No biggie! Those little words can be tricky! Glad Louise found another letter for it.

35559 Jhmingos, I've also only had one 5-star book for this challenge, but I'm stingy with my stars! LOL. I have had a few 4-star books. Nice that you're enjoying your books for this week. For me, this has been the best week yet. Just wish I had more time to read, as when it's a good book I tend to slow down and reread passages and take time to sit and let the words really settle in more.

I love it when a book takes place where I live! So cool that you're just minutes away from Newry. I looked on the map before I started reading to see the location since we were fortunate to visit Ireland for 8 days 11 years ago. We loved it so much and would love to return again someday!
Dec 09, 2022 11:39AM

35559 Hi Dale,
On your completed book, My Kind of Love, I had to remove "K" from your letters that work. The word "My" is not a definite/indefinite article, so it can't be ignored to work for the title starting with "Kind". I did find the letter "A" works, as it's the author's last name.

If any other character names work, could you please add them to the spreadsheet? The more options we have the better! Thanks!

35559 How can it be Thursday already? This week is flying by! Really enjoying my reads for this week. Hope you all are too!

If you like family sagas set in Ireland, then I would recommend The Yellow House. I'm only about 75 pages into it, but I can already tell it's going to be high scoring stars!

35559 Stacey C,
So sorry, but your book, Christmas in Quincy was not enough pages to work for the challenge. The edition you read was 144 pages and the minimum count for the challenge is 160. I removed it from the SS for you.
