I finished my other two reads that I needed to get done before starting the big King book. Wish me luck! I'm diving into it today! Hopefully I won't get carpal tunnel syndrome from holding it! Haha!

I feel like it looks more teal to me, but we..."Really late to respond to your question, Janeylou, I would say both bright blue and teal would work. What a gorgeous cover!

Thanks for taking one for the team, Vi!

I was able to get
Fourth Wing as an audiobook at my library. 21 hours! Yikes! It doesn't sound like the typical book I usually read, but with Jen's ringing endorsement I'm going to give it a go for the extra points for the team. Please give me an alert when it comes up, so I can throw my hat in the ring to write questions for extra points.

It can be anyone on our team that asks them, and really ever..."Glad we got a chance to write questions. I will also keep some notes on chapters 9-11 (when I get there in the book). It would be fun to make it a group event to write our questions! We already know Elinor writes great questions!
Shannon wrote: "@Nanci how do you like Project Hail Mary? Thats been on my TBR list for a whihile now. Thinking ab reading it too"I'm really liking it, Shannon! It's two time lines, which seems to be what authors are doing these days, but for this book it works well and the transitions are seamless. Good writing, storyline and characters. I'm stingy with stars, but as of this point it's getting 4 stars. I'm not a science person, but I don't find that to be an issue in reading. I'm learning a lot. If you love and understand science, then this would be even more appealing.

I'm trying to get through
Project Hail Mary before it's due on the 7th when we go out of town for 3 weeks. It's due the 16th. I'm liking it and about 50% it just very scientific and sometimes I get slowed down trying to sort the science parts out.
I was really hoping to start the King book at the latest by today, but that's not happening. I'll have some reading time on the way to FL and usually alternate between reading and audiobook and podcast when I'm not driving. Cris, I'll be in your shoes soon with a cruise with our oldest daughter, her hubby and 3 of our grands. These things don't happen often and they're the best times of RL, so it's ok to "slack" during those times.

Jacki,
I really enjoyed
The Silent Wife. Once you start it, it should read really fast!

which completes another chipmunk task."Hooray, Vi!

Sorry you're having trouble getting Fourth Wing, Elinor. My library has 59 copies available as an audio book, which seems like there may be a typo. It is a long wait for the real book and a small wait for the ebook. Wish I could share with you, somehow!

Makes perfect sense! Thanks so much!

I added the mini of RT76 to my book The German Wife and wrote the color "teal" on the planning SS, but it's not showing up on the RT tab. Please tell me what I did wrong. Thanks!

Fine by me, Lisa. My library loan expired before I could read it and I was just waiting for it to renew. I didn't realize. I was holding up the team. Glad you got it to work!

I asked my husband and he said it was also because of the shadow making it qualify for black. Thanks for the support! I'm usually pretty good with glancing at a book and seeing the dominant color. Now which number in the RT's should I place it? Is it ok to call it "Peacock blue"?

I need some help on this color cover. Tineye says 45% black and only 9% for blue. I see mostly peacock blue. What do you all think?

I didn't see this page of comments before I posted the above. I too am in favor of getting the chipmunk tasks completed ASAP and I removed my name from task #7, since I won't be getting it done very soon. I'll still read it and if no one else has finished when I'm done then I'll put my name back on it. Feel free to grab it team!

Elinor,
The Bluest Eye is such a moving book. Morrison, for me, can be hard to read, but that one is my fav. I hope you'll be able to read it regardless of where it ends up being placed.

I'm currently reading
One by One, which I know will eventually be page turning, but right now there are so many characters that I have to keep turning back to the beginning where the author gives a low down on all of them, so it's a slow start for me. I will be concentrating on my Chipmunk book and the long King book next.

Chipmunk task "treasure hunt in book". Hmm...Treasure Island anyone? :)
MN Lisa wrote: "Vi wrote: "I just finished a book

I'm not sure if somebody is already reading for..."I recalled someone asking if a certain scenario would qualify as cheating and that we had replied that it would work. I went back to see who it was to make sure and it was actually you, Lisa, in message 634. I guess you decided not to use it for that task. Funny!
