I think I posted awhile back when it came out. I did like it but didn't love the ending. I gave it 4* instead of 5*. But she will be writing more books about Beep & Osh.

Vanessa, I love Pamela Clare. She is a great writer. I read the MacKinnon's Rangers a long time ago and really liked them. She also writes a great romantic suspense series I-Team (first book was weakest but still good). And she has some other historicals , Ride the Fire was book 3 in a trilogy and I absolutely loved it. The first 2 were good too. I don't recall any of her h's being TSTL in any of her books. She also has a contemporary romance series Colorado High Country - I read book 1 and liked it but contemporary isn't my favorite, I prefer suspense or historical or PNR. She is also a breast cancer survivor and had to take some time off from writing for awhile for treatment.

It looks like Buroker does have more stories in Emperor's Edge world.

From her website -
A new series set in the Emperor’s Edge world.
You may want to start with the Chains of Honor Prequels, three novellas that were originally published as the Swords & Salt series.

Warrior Mage (Book 1) Warrior Mage
Snake Heart (Book 2) Snake Heart
Assassin’s Bond (Book 3) — Feb 2019 Assassin's Bond (this book not group with the rest of series - anyone know a goodreads librarian to fix this?)
Great Chief (Book 4) — April 2019

Thanks! I'm sure I've read some of her books before but can't think which ones...I'll have to check.

Thanks!

I don't care either way about sex in books unless its too much - like erotica or sex just to have sex scene.

Last time I checked The Poisoned Pen bookstore in AZ had signed copies of Kill the Farm Boy and they will ship to you. My husband bought me a signed copy of Outlander from there. It was around $30.

They also had signed copy Summoned to Thirteenth Grave for around $30.

222868 I'm about halfway through Republic Republic (The Emperor's Edge, #8) by Lindsay Buroker and its pretty good. Its very long (link 9k locations) and life has gotten in the way (kitchen disposal that we noticed was leaking after we cleaned out the fridge and dumped rancid food in it...).

After I might try Devil's Daughter (The Ravenels #5) by Lisa Kleypas Devil's Daughter, which came out today.

222868 A fan contacted Courtney Milan to let her know another author plagiarized her. And boy did she! Whole paragraphs word for word.

222868 Its also really annoying when there are obvious bogus reviews and Amazon does nothing about it. I was looking for headphones for my husband for valentines day. This one came up at a solid 5* rating, but if you look at the reviews, they are all dated February 12 and all by "Amazon Customer" or the same people over and over again. 565 reviews! Its annoying because I tried to post a review and amazon rejected it because I complained too much about the seller (amazon) and they said the review was not enough about the product.

222868 I also read An English Bride In Scotland and it was kinda "meh" for me. I almost DNFed it but wanted to see who the villain was. Not sure why I didn't like it. I guess because not much happened and the book took place over the course of about a week.

Currently reading Dukes Are Forever. Really liking the h.

222868 I finished Forged in Blood II. This was a great series. There are 2 more books about stuff that happens after the main story ended, but I think I am going to take a break. This last book was a tad sad and after 7 books in a row I need something lighter. But if you like books with action and humor then try these. They've been out for awhile so I was late to the game. Books 1,2,3 are still free on Amazon in a bundle...

222868 Doug when I got my paperwhite I did not get the amazon cover, I got Marware cover off amazon and its been great. Still in great shape all these years later. Was way cheaper but did not have the auto wake/sleep function but I never cared. The kindle will shut itself off anyway. (I did get that feature for my kindle fire though). But I do not see them listed on amazon anymore. I've gotten good Fintie ipad covers off amazon and I believe they make kindle covers too

222868 Finished booked 3 in Emperor's edge. I'll probably move on to book 4 next.

Regarding Maas, I did not like her book about the fae. I read the first one and stopped - gave 2 stars. But considering trying Throne of Glass series anyway. I didn't mind the writing in the book I read, but didn't care for some of the events/actions of the characters so I could not find myself liking them.

Yes Monadh! I think I started with her with the Mandrake books, and the Dragon Blood books. I read Fallen Empire not too long ago. Oh and the Star Guardians were pretty good too!.

I got the first books free for most of these series and that got me hooked. I did that with Dragon's blood (books 1-2 were free) and Mandrake the first book was free. The ones I am read now Emperor's Edge books 1-3 were free. These are probably the only freebies I've ever gotten that were actually good....
