I'm one the last book of the Raven Cycle. If you like YA I recommend this series.
The Raven King

And Doug, she actually posted "I mean... *expletive deleted* 🤬 I have never wanted to say OKAY BOOMER to someone’s face quite so much."
She is such a hateful person. Believe whatever politics you want, I could care less. But when you outright hate and belittle people who don't agree with you it just shows how ugly you are on the inside IMO.

I'm pretty much done with Elizabeth Hunter. Don't care for her attitude online. There's plenty of authors out there who are respectful of everyone. I don't need to be supporting the rude ones....

I'm working on the Acton & Doyle books. I'm up to book 5. I mostly like them a lot. It does get annoying that Acton doesn't tell Doyle anything though. But I'm used to her doing some kinda stupid things, and some of the lines are downright LOL worthy.

Well CF has dropped her trademark requests. Must have got a lot of comments about it.

Hoping to get to a few of them when I have time off for Christmas.

I bought
Binding Vows
with my book credit and it was a disappointment. So many good reviews and I thought it really could've used some editing. Oh well, at least I didn't really pay for it.
I also read
. One of the better Nora Roberts I have read (
will always be #1 for me). This one was good, and I rounded up to 4*. But it was a little too long and I didn't feel the connection between the H and h, who didn't meet until halfway through the book. I also felt it was a little too preachy in some parts. Still, I mostly enjoyed it.
I also finished
and it was ok. Some significant flaws in the the timeline of things that couldn't be answered and basically all the characters just went with that. So I guess the reader is supposed to as well. Still, its nice to be in the BDB world. You could probably skip this though and just accept that Trez/Selena/Therese had their HEA.
Just started
which many of you have recommended, So far so good.
I am determined to make my book reading goal for the year. I had to lower it to 100 from my usual 130 because of family issues this year. I'm at 90 and according to goodreads still 2 books behind schedule.

I saw Grace Draven post on facebook how Christine Feehan is trying to trademark words in book series titles - dark, leopard and Carpathian. So no other author would be able to use the word dark in a series title. Its pretty much cocky-gate all over again, but with a famous author this time.

I got my credit back! Other than the JR Ward BDB book, anything else good coming out tomorrow?

OK never mind about my credit. I was looking for any old Ilona Andrews I had not purchased yet and I clicked on what was an arrow to scroll and at the same time the screen jumped and I accidentally clicked on a the buy button for a book I already owned. So I returned it immediately but it used my credit. It says it takes up to 5 days for the refund, but since it used the credit automatically I don't even know if I would get it back, and it expires in 6 days. Sigh.

I have a $5 amazon kindle credit (no idea why) that I have to use before 11/30. I need recommendations!
Paula wrote: "I still haven't changed my reading type. I love PNR, Fantasy and Sci Fi with an occasional contemp rom."Me too! I also still enjoy historicals, and I do find I like contemporaries more than I used to.

Happy birthday Doug!

This is a Hollows book #14! It won'..."Its been so long since I read the Hollows books I wouldn't remember much. I don't even remember how they ended previously....

Well MelJean Brook/Milla Vane was on social media saying
A Heart of Blood and Ashes was up on NetGalley. I was rejected withing 24 hours. LOL
I did get 3 other books though, one of which had "blood and ashes" in the title so I freaked out thinking it was the Milla Vane book, then realized it wasn't. Oh well.
Those of you with more reputable netgalley accounts may want to try for it. I'll be waiting until February....

Anyone check out the GoodReads Choice Awards?
I have only read 2 of the books - Storm Cursed under fantasy, and The Savior under Romance.

Vanessa, was great meeting you in person! I hope they do events like that more often in the area. It was a lot of fun!
My signed book collection grew by 11. I took 5 books from home (My 4 Edge Books and 1 Tessa Dare). Ilona and Gordon were so pleasant to chat with when they were signing my books and let me get a picture with them. Gordon asked where I was from and when I told him about an hour away in MA he kept asking me about our neighborhood cuz sometimes they think of moving to the East coast. That was probably just chit chat but hey that would be cool. Then maybe there would be more events in the area.
Their group at the VIP was large like Vanessa said so I could not hear very well, but I did catch something about the narrator for a lot of their audio books may be changing because they have not heard from her in quite awhile. They had told her she was not pronouncing things correctly (like names) and maybe she did not take the criticism well. But Ilona was funny and was like "I told her exactly how to say the names and she still said them wrong". Then she told a bunch of funny bad fan mail stories.
Here's a picture of me with Ilona and Gordan
