The bad guy in Fever (the one that was involved with Mac's sister) was the bad guy in The Immortal Highlander (Adam's book), that's how he ends up in the human world.
I also didn't care for character's being messed with after getting their happier endings in their books, that's why I'm hoping things work out, lol. But I love the Fever books anyway.

A lot of stuff mentioned in Fever was first seen in the highlander books (the hallows - spear, sword etc.) so I am really trying to pay attention to those details again. I'm on Daegus' book now, and last I heard he was not faring so well in the Fever books, and just saw Christian for the first time as a teenager and he was a hot mess the last time I read about him in Fever - hoping these two end up ok. But some characters were already killed off so who knows....

I watched the first few True Blood shows and at first was very close to the books. Then there was just too much stuff added into the show and I stopped watching.
The Sookie books are very good, I enjoyed them. There are different men in her life throughout the series. Its been a long, long time since I read them, but its not like a Kate & Curran thing throughout the series. I don't recall cheating or anything but just breakups for various reasons and meeting someone else.
Gunnie Rose is a very different type of book. There is one love interest with its own difficulties that need to be overcome. Even with all the killing and some dark moments its also full of humor (at least I think its funny at times). :)

Takes a bit of getting used to with the world building and there's a lot of killing. I just love Lisbeth (main character). I did not care for the plot of book 2 as much so 3* for that one but the other 2 have been 4* for me.
Line from last book as Lisbeth is making lunch, and the woman who owns the house she is in comes and apologizes because she is a guest in the house:
Who did she think was going to make lunch? I'd killed the maid.
(Don't worry, the maid was a bad guy.)

My older one has a feature where you can set it to automatically adjust the screen for the amount of light in the room. It adjusts by itself and I could read in the car with daylight no problem, no glare. This newer one does not have that feature so I am constantly adjusting the lighting on my own, and it s a pain.

I switched to the kindle fire I had given to my mom before she passed and it is newer than mine. I would open a doc from my cloud to read and it would open, but if I closed the kindle I would sometimes be back on the home screen next time I opened it. So I looked in docs and in the kindle app on it and it was nowhere. So I would have to download again, and it kept starting at the beginning. I like this kindle because it is much lighter than my other one, but I like the other one's features better. This one is also very glitchy - freezes often and have to wait for it to respond, sluggish when I open things, etc.

And then finally the book I ordered off Amazon came today. Its a hardcover of

Anyway, this part in Moon Called struck me differently since the "Bran revelation".

He sighed heavily and leaned back in the chair, balancing it on two legs, his own legs dangling in the air.
"People don't do that," I told him.
He raised an eyebrow. "Do what?"
"Balance like that - not unless they're teenage boys showing off for their girlfriends."
He brought all four legs back on the floor abruptly. "Thank you." Bran liked to appear as human as possible, but his gratitude was a little sharp. I took a hasty sip of cocoa so he wouldn't see my amusement.

I just heard the delay was because she had long term CO2 poisoning (like 2 years) and suffered cognitive issues she had to overcome.
Kingdom of Shadow and Light

I've heard The Fae Chronicles is good. Fighting Destiny is book 1. I've never heard of it before so I guess it's not very popular?

I had it on my list for awhile but never got to it. It did get some hype a while back. If I recall I didn't bother because a common complaint was the editing was bad and that really irks me. But corrections could've been made since then, it was a couple of years ago.

I met Tessa Dare at book signing, she was super nice. Hope she is better soon.
Vanessa - did you meet Tessa Dare that day we met up at Mohegan Sun?

I don't even ask any more about IAD books from her. I guess Munro was supposed to be next. I know I shouldn't complain, I mean these authors are human beings with lives to live and their own problems and issues and it sounds selfish of me. I just like series to actually end and not leave people hanging.

I did round up to 4* because the book made me cry. But I did have some issues with it.

there's another book by Maya Banks that keeps getting pushed out year after year. It was book 3 in a highlander trilogy. Its been like 4 years now. Something about the publisher changed and they have to wait for some reason blah blah blah.

The store ships, so I bought the last 2 Mercy books in hardcover that I needed. So I get signed copies and supporting a local business (even if not local to me).
If anyone is interested here's the facebook post on her page:

It looks like the Bec McMaster book is her first book her dragon series Heart of Fire so some folks might already have it. I know I do! This is the one where they used my review as front matter in the later books. I'm thinking of purchasing them all in paperback for my shelves just because of that.....
