@Vanessa - Great minds and all :)

I needed something different tonight so I grabbed this, it is FREE if you have KU and looks like nothing else, the twist sounds interesting. (This is NOT Three Wishes by Kristen Ashley)
Three Wishes

I just finished her new book
Baby, I'm Howling for You and I gave it a barely 4 Stars rating (Melindeeloo gave it 3) it was good enough I did not scan or skip anything but it was a lot of buildup for a rushed ending I thought but the lack of any TSTL was a nice touch :)

The bear steals the book IMHO :)

re:
Once Upon a Marquess thought I posted this but it went into space it seems :)
I read the reviews and many people thought the previous series Brothers Sinister was much better?? Any thoughts on that?

I started
Baby, I'm Howling for You last night and already like it better than the novella :) It was not a bad story but she rushed everything for whatever reason and turned what could have been a really good story into something that never really let you get involved in the characters much BUT it did introduce many of the cast and was interesting enough as I said to get me to grab the ARC of the first full length book out of my TBR where it had been gathering dust.

Lulu - I did not read that series but according to Melindeeloo's review it is a spin-off of "The Others" (not to be confused with the similar name of the Anne Bishop series)

Well it turns out that
Something to Howl About is really just a novella to introduce the series but still it is 3 Stars for me since it is mostly just some lust and insta-love wrapped around a plot that is almost shoved aside with a few intelligent sounding words. I have an ARC of the follow-up novel
Baby, I'm Howling For You and I am interested enough to want to read it now since the overall settings and characters seem interesting. I guess that means the novella did its job of making me interested enough to read the first full length story in this series.

Reading
Something to Howl About tonight and not sure if it is going to be more than 3 Stars, I disliked the start so bad I wrote a review before I got to 40% but I skipped ahead to 50% and it is getting better, I may have to rewrite my review LOL .

LOL, that is seriously lame :)

Have you ever seen a series that had great plots but an author that could not really bring them to life? That is how I feel about the whole "No Ordinary Hero" trilogy by Suzanne Enoch. The plot of the first 2 books were great but the author did not have the talent or the time to make them into the 5 Star stories they could have been, I reviewed the 3rd one today
A Devil in Scotland and it was at least 4 Star reading (the others rated 3) since it had an actual ending the other 2 lacked. A better author could have written a 5 Star trilogy but sadly it did not happen :(

Welcome to our world Karen LOL

Well finally finished
His Lordship's Last Wager: A Regency Romance Between Bitter Enemies and I did love it but maybe not as much as the first 2 books, seemed to drag on a bit but it was still a solid 4 Star book. Now I got to pull something out of my "You promised to review this" stack

I have several real life things to deal with recently, no emergency just time eating things so I am still reading
His Lordship's Last Wager: A Regency Romance Between Bitter Enemies and still loving it, this line had me in stitches but without reading the book it probably is not as funny :) Referring to our heroine or hero says: "She's a member of the family from a dwindling lunatic branch"
"

Should finish
His Lordship's Last Wager: A Regency Romance Between Bitter Enemies tonight and loving it, much witty banter and humor, seems to drag a small bit in places but she just got through telling him about the bear and her "plan" and it was hilarious :) I can hardly wait to see how it works out (or not)

Told ya LOL

The "Call of Crows" books seem to get a little better with each book IMHO

I think I must have been asleep at the wheel, it is the 12th of Jan and I have all of these I am supposed to have read by 30 Jan ??? (and I am reading
His Lordship's Last Wager: A Regency Romance Between Bitter Enemies tonight) . I don't even remember accepting a couple of these.
