Here are some free books if anyone wants to review some lesser known authors:

Lady Derring Takes a Lover was just exceptional, after reading so many 4 Star or less historical romances I am glad to have read another true 5 Star from Julie Anne Long

Well I can say that even though I am only 50% through it that Julie Anne Long has not lost her touch, if you love historical fiction you need to add this to your "must have" list, it is book 1 in her new series and I have laughed more at this than I think I did with the last Badger book :)
Lady Derring Takes a Lover

Back in January I read book 1 if the "Dukes Den" series and found it to be great entertainment and for a shocking change the sex was about perfect in comparison to most of the historical romances which have people engaging in historical inaccurate activities to say the lest :) I just finished book 2 and it was about the same in that area and the stories in both were excellent, not quite up to some of our "A List" authors of historical romance but damn close so let me recommend the following 2 books:
A Duke Changes EverythingAnything But a Duke

Not too often I can recommend a book before I finish it but this one I have to believe that anyone that likes paranormal will love and the description of "Jessica Fletcher meets Aunt Bea meets Odd Thomas" is pretty much spot on and I am only 34% into it and already loving it and it is FREE on KU (not sure about the Aunt Bea but she sounds like Jessica Fletcher in my head)
Amazing Grace - A Southern Paranormal Mystery

Just finished this and can't remember if somebody here recommended it or what but it is FREE to everyone and was a pretty good read but it solves the main story but leaves you with a bit of a cliffhanger for the next story in the epilogue.
Croc's Return

re: New Kindles - I am trying to get to where I like the Paperwhite but the bottom line is that it is great for read on my eyes if you plan to use ONLY that Paperwhite to read an entire book, it still sucks at syncing up with my other Kindles and kindle apps. I might need to get off my wallet and take a look at an Oasis. I like my Fire but it is only surpassed by the Paperwhite being user unfrindly IMHO in navigating to a specific book that you know is in your library and may be classified as a "DOC" (as most ARCs are). I still have that last Kindle Keyboard that I grabbed when they found a bunch of them after they had already stopped selling them. I am saving it for times when I might be away from WIFI on a trip and I love the fact that it has free 3G I can download a book from anywhere I can get a signal

Thanks Vanessa (and I won't even bother to make excuses why I did not know this since I get that newsletter, too fast on the delete key I think)

re: DragonKin - "BTW, according to Laurenston, the dragons are complete" - really?? I hate that, I loved that bit of insanity, the honey badgers are close but missing something for me to love them as much as the DragonKin

Am I the only one that did not know this was coming out?? Looks good. A new series by Thea Harrison after all this time.
American Witch

I got a late ARC of
In a Badger Way and was about to think it was a bit of a bust since I read them for the great humor but only a chuckle or 2 until about the 30% mark and then things got back to that over the top humor I love.

@Aussie Girl - I liked it also, maybe not a favorite but it was enjoyable to me and the sex was done better than usual for my tastes.

NOTE: To anyone who has Netgalley send them books, if you happen to get rid of a kindle who had the email address that was your choice in your Netgalley profile, it will say it was sent but it goes into space :) Took me a few tries to figure out why I could not get my latest couple of books. It was the Paperwhite that I returned to Amazon.

Opinions... what do you all have anything to watch out for?"I have a Fire and a Paperwhite and while I like reading with the Paperwhite it is NOT user friendly IMHO, it seldom syncs up with "Furthest Page Read" from other devices and sometimes will tell me I do not have a book I have gotten from KU. I actually ordered 2 of them and sent one back I was so frustrated and I tend to use my Fire as my main reading device unless I know I can finish a book end to end on the Paperwhite.

Just finished
Druid's Due and loved it, it is kind of an ending for the original storyline and not sure what he is going to do next but it will continue and it was great :)

. Poor Rick can never catch a break."I had not thought about it but Rick does seem to get a lot of bad stuff happening in this series :)
Kristi (foxtail_too) wrote: "Vanessa, does The Duke with the Dragon Tattoo stand alone, or do I need to start at the first of the series?"You need to start at the beginning of the series and they are all 5 Star or close to it, the first 2 for sure. The characters from the previous books do show up in each book
