222868 @Paula - There is a way to sync certain folders (like where your books are at) to your Google Drive and it is free for the first 15 Gig of space, I created a separate user just to hold my security videos my security camera makes and stores there. My main user's Google drive I pay I think a very few bucks every year for 100 Gig and backup all kind of stuff there that I REALLY don't want to lose in case of fire or something devastating. I am pretty sure when you create the Google Drive it asks you to download and install the sync program that runs in the background all the time. Soon as I change something on one of the files/folders it monitors a copy is made on the Drive in a few minutes or less. I don't backup many books because I pretty much send all books/ARCs that are not purchases from Amazon to Amazon to "convert" which adds them automatically to my library so Amazon backs them up in effect and I can access them from my "Devices and Content" menu on Amazon and send them to any reading device I have added to my list of devices.

222868 It seems that the big publishers have woken to the fact that DTB is dying so they are running the cost of ebook/audible thing up to unreal levels. It is a bit over 450 pages which is almost double the usual 250-280 we see in most novels

222868 For those who might want a deal Danika Dark has the first 3 novels of her Crossbreed series on sale as a bundle for 99 cents, not sure if I will like it but for that price I can afford to hate it :)

222868 The jury is still out on Life, Love and the Pursuit of Happiness too many secrets and seems to be missing that elusive "something" but still early

222868 Reading Life, Love and the Pursuit of Happiness and at the 20% mark and it is barely holding my interest, since I know many of her other books are like this (takes awhile to get going) but I keep thinking of all these other shiny books I have to read LOL

222868 Well since I have more books to read than I can possibly get to anytime soon I did what any book addict does .... I bought another book :) Since it seemed a few of you loved this one I added it to my collection of "really good books I have not read yet"

222868 Well I finished the whole "The Beginner's Guide to Necromancy" series and it was one of the better things I have done this year. I can't wait for the spin-off. Now back to those pesky books I have to review, I think the next thing is Rogue Most Wanted and Life, Love and the Pursuit of Happiness both of which I was supposed to have done in 3 days, I think I am gonna miss my deadline :)

222868 Several of us read A Meddle of Wizards and enjoyed it, she is asking for votes for the book to be nominated for judging, this first round is just a popularity contest but as long as she gets 100 votes her book will be considered. Takes less than a minute

222868 How good are you as an author when you give a book away for free then a few months later sell it and have these kinds of numbers 30 days before release??

222868 Originally Emma Chase "Royally" series was just a trilogy. I read books 1 & 3 and skipped #2 since the plot sounded a bit silly IMHO but I did not know until today that she picked it back up and added a 4th book plus a bit of a novella. Anyone read book 4 Royally Yours which was only released last October ?

222868 I hope I word this so it is understandable :)

I read a lot of books of all kinds and enjoy most of them, some are just outstanding and some are freaking amazing but a VERY few fall into a small category of just plain fun where you have a smile on your face most of the time. That is where I have gotten to with "The Beginner's Guide to Necromancy " series. I am on book 4 How to Dance an Undead Waltz and really enjoying this series now that she is not so helpless and the interpersonal relationships make this so entertaining rather than the overarching plot. I hope it keeps up like this but I keep fearing she is going to turn this into a love triangle at some point and that will suck.

222868 Finished How to Claim an Undead Soul and moving on to How to Break an Undead Heart and it is getting much better as it goes along but very slowly and every time I think I have Linus figured out I realize I don't :) Possibly I am the only one who does not really like Boaz that much but I feel sure he will be "the one" at the end of all of this

222868 And in the "Why is Doug so slow" category I am at the 30% mark in How to Claim an Undead Soul when the light-bulb came on and reminded me where I had heard the name "Mr. Voorhees" before LOL you have lived a sheltered life if it does not ring a bell :)

222868 Just a note to anyone who might post a review on Amazon, I got a review rejected today and I almost never did figure out what I had done but I had a photo attached that had the tag that came with the item and you could read the manufacturers website clearly which is in that list of things you can't do (no outside websites can be mentioned or apparently shown anywhere) but I know that about the review but never thought it would impact me via the photo LOL removed the photo and all was well.
