I just finished a historical romance
Up All Night with a Good Duke and while I enjoyed it there was not a lot of originality from several others I have read but I gave it 4 Stars that might have been a bit high but after reading only 20% of
A Matter of Temptation I am already thinking this book is much superior. I seldom give novels less than 4 Stars these days unless they really are horrible but the glaring difference in quality writing makes me wonder but so far I can really say it would appear that
A Matter of Temptation is going to be a very good novel and may reach the 5 Star level if it continues in this level of entertainment.

What they said:
"My GOD! Do you really need more books?
What I heard:
They revere me like a god and are concerned I do not have enough books.

Well after stringing us along for years they finally did it :(

Well I finished a novella that would probably have been better as a short story called
The Earl on the Train which was a bit of a disappointment. I gave it 3 Stars but some of that may be the expectation of something in the 5 Star range as almost everything else she has written but mainly I was looking for a story it started with and it devolved into a more erotic tale leaving any actually story behind and a nice HEA I guess for a tale of this short length but a bit of an epilogue would really have helped me give it 1 more star. It does not live up to being part of the series it is supposed to be part of IMHO

You skip through the sex scenes to get to the "good stuff"

"One of my favorite books for many years and no sequels, the whole story in one book, wonderful.

. Amazing, of course. Have to write my review still, it can be hard without giving spoilers.I am saving my copy a bit longer but I always am looking for a good funny read so I grabbed a copy of
The Bodyguard and can't wait to try it out

I need to read "The Book of the Ice" series since I have been given all 3 books now but you really have to be in the mood to start into 1000+ pages so I accidentally grabbed a book I had already read and was captured by it again. Kerrigan Byrne has always been one of my Top 5 authors since the first book of Victorian Rebels series but tonight I shall enjoy this one again:
Seducing a Stranger

"I'm enjoying the series maybe not quite as much as Pennyroyal Green, but it still has the JAL magic."
Exactly, anyone who has a love for historical romance with a large dose of adventure should read this series

Well this releases tomorrow and I just finished it and I have loved all the previous books in the series (this is book 5) and while it is not required to read them in order it does add to the enjoyment since you will see a core of the characters in each book. Highly recommended
You Were Made to Be Mine

Well I finished
Immortal Rising and it was a decent story but nothing really exceptional about it other than it did finally close out a thread that has been hanging around for several books. I hope the next one is better. Somewhere between 3.5-4 stars

I am going to start a quick read in a series I seem to be addicted to for reasons unknown
Fight Where I Am and then I might have to jump into the 1000+ pages for Mark Lawrence's "Book Of The Ice"

Well in the last week I finished the Daughter of Smoke & Bone trilogy which was a solid 4 Star trilogy (book 2 as with most trilogies was a lot of words that took us nowhere) and just finished
Rules for Engaging the Earl which was a bit of a disappointment for me after book 1
A Duke in Time which I did enjoy. I ended up giving this new book 3 Stars.

Well I got this today from NetGalley
The Girl and the Moon which is the last of the Book of Ice trilogy so I will be finishing off the
The Daughter of Smoke and Bone Trilogy in the next few days and then I have an ARCs I have to read
Rules for Engaging the Earl and review before I can step into this world of 1200 pages that Mark Lawrence has created again. Looks like my reading on into May possibly is spoken for :)

re: ARCs - It allows people to know what might be available for request. Sometimes they will surprise you, the first few years I got turned down more than I got approved but you have to start someplace and books can get expensive (that was one of my main motivations)
Reading the
The Daughter of Smoke and Bone Trilogy and while riveting it seems to go slow in places and in the first book jumps around the timeline a bit but it really is a good story, can't wait to see where this goes. If Shakespear had written these I am pretty sure they would be classified as a tragedy :)

IMHO I would read [book:Lake Silence again, I wish I had since there were some small things in Crowbones that would have been easier to remember if I had reread it
Vanessa wrote: "Isn't it though Doug. I have so enjoyed some of the latest reads from our favorite authors. Have you been reading the latest Innkeeper serial?"I always wait until it is finished and comes out in book form

I finally got around to reading
Wild Sign and reading books by REALLY great authors is just a whole higher level of enjoyment

I loved the Bridgerton series when the actors deviate so far from my mental pictures and pretty much ignore history completely I just can't get past it, my problem obviously but after a couple of episodes I just gave it up.
