My Mom had a couch in the living room that was very expensive and nobody ever sat on except guests and they depreciated that and other things to almost nothing.

Yes, let us know if we can be of help. My Mom's house burned down and she lost almost everything and the insurance proved to be inadequate to replace many things like your whole wardrobe.

I seldom watch the NFL but since Philly is a good part a team made up of Alabama Crimson Tide players I will make an exception :)

WOW, I forgot so I went back and looked, how do you write a 5 Star book 1 and it seems I DNF book 2 and then book 3 is 5 Stars again???
DemetraP wrote: "That looks good, Doug."One of my few 5 Star historicals
Book 1 was 5 Star also but book 2 was a bit over written and boring until a really good ending. Book 1 is great and you can read it now (I forget book 3 was not out for 2 more weeks)

"I always like her writings but have not read any of this series, were the first 2 books good?

We stayed in Rabat since we were there on an FMS case for the government and were really not allowed to travel around but I had never heard of a kerosene refrigerator before then but we had one in our apartment :) They were tricky and if you did not get the flame exactly right you either had a warm fridge or you froze everything inside LOL . To be honest I enjoyed Saudi Arabia a lot more

This one is outside my usual reading genres but the story sounded intriguing and the author is somebody I have read a book or 2 and they were always exceptional. Hopefully this one is also but the idea of a psychic framed for murder and some folks in "The Mob" the only ones that believe her sounded really good :)
NOTE: Better try to get it from Netgalley since the real book is dammed expensive.

@Lulu - I have not gone back to
Seduce Me at Sunrise yet but I still plan to since I want to read the whole series and I can't really believe that Lisa Kleypas has written something that I really would not like, I think it might be the mood I was in.

I know nothing about this book but it has good reviews and it is FREE to anyone and is obviously a hook to get you into the series but sounds like a good story.

While
A Lady's Guide to Fortune-Hunting did sound interesting I have to say I choke a bit at a 335 page e-book for $15!!

The Snow Queen: The Complete Saga: Books 1-3: Heart of Ice, Sacrifice, Snowflakes (NOTE: there are three books but the real story is in the first 2, book 3 is more of a collection of short stories and info)

Well
The House That Walked Between Worlds was so good I had to grab the other 2 books of the trilogy (all are on KU BTW)

I had to give up on
The Accidental Queen: A Midlife Fairy Tale too slow and a wee bit juvenile but I grabbed
The House That Walked Between Worlds and I am loving it

I decided to grab one I bought by Kristin Painter called
The Accidental Queen: A Midlife Fairy Tale since I generally enjoy her books in the past but many of the recent ones seemed a bit more YA than I enjoy but this one is a standalone that sounded good, I will let you know :)
DemetraP wrote: "Can anyone recommend funny books?
